Georgia Tech beats Boston College 76-71

BOSTON (AP) Marcus Georges-Hunt scored 23 points and Adam Smith chipped in with 18 on Saturday to lead Georgia Tech to a 76-71 victory over Boston College, giving the Eagles their 16th consecutive loss.

The Yellow Jackets (17-12, 7-9 Atlantic Coast Conference) won their fourth consecutive game and fifth of their last six. Georges-Hunt averaged 22.3 points per game and 4.2 assists during the last six games.

Eli Carter came off the bench to lead BC (7-22, 0-16) with 25 points. Dennis Clifford added 17.

Georgia Tech's victory on Saturday ends a two-game skid against BC, who ousted the Yellow Jackets from last season's ACC tournament with a 66-65 win.

No team has gone winless in the ACC regular season since Maryland finished 0-14 in 1987. The Eagles have two games remaining before they head to Washington, D.C. for the ACC tournament.
