Fresno State fights off UNLV 111-104 for double overtime win

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) Marvelle Harris had 37 points as Fresno State fought off UNLV for a 111-104 double overtime win on Saturday night.

Harris, who scored seven points in the second overtime, was 13 of 27 from the floor and also had seven assists for Fresno State (14-8, 5-4 Mountain West). Julien Lewis added 18 points and Cullen Russo had 17.

Fresno State led throughout the second half until UNLV's Dwayne Morgan made a layup for an 86-84 lead with 2:33 left. Harris had a layup with 36 seconds left to send it to overtime.

The first overtime ended with a 92-92 tie. The Bulldogs opened the second extra period with a 10-2 run and held on for the win.

Patrick McCaw led UNLV (13-11, 4-7 Mountain West) with 28 points and 16 rebounds. Ike Nwamu, who had two points in the first half, finished with 27, making 5 of 10 from beyond the arc.
