Edwards leads UTM over Arkansas-Pine Bluff

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) Kedar Edwards had 25 points, seven rebounds and seven steals in UT Martin's 73-68 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday night.

After Fatodd Lewis' basket gave the Seahawks (7-2) a 66-63 lead, Kennedy McKinney scored to get the Golden Lions (1-6) within one, 66-65, with 1:32 remaining, then UTM turned the ball over. But Edwards made a steal, was fouled and hit two free throws and followed with another steal with 37 seconds left. Jalen Jackson missed a pair of free throws but Edwards got the offensive rebound and sank two more free throws for a 70-65 lead. Jackson added two free throws and Matthew Butler one for UTM.

Lewis scored 14 points and Butler, with four 3-pointers, 13 for UTM.

Joe'Randle Toliver, with five 3-pointers, led the Lions with 19 points. Ghiavonni Robinson added 14.

UTM, trailing by one at halftime, built an 11-point second-half lead before the Lions rallied.
