Correction: New Mexico-San Jose St story

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) In a story Jan. 23 about the women's college basketball game between New Mexico and San Jose State, The Associated Press incorrectly referred to The University of New Mexico as New Mexico State University.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Elijah Brown tied a career high with 33 points and grabbed six rebounds to help New Mexico beat San Jose State 83-64 on Saturday.

The Lobos led 57-40 after a 14-3 run capped by Brown's free throws with 13:57 left. Late in the second half, Brown had a 3-point play, a dunk and a 3-pointer during a 10-0 run that iced it for New Mexico.

Tim Williams added 22 points and 10 rebounds and Dane Kuiper had a career-high 11 points for the Lobos (11-8, 4-2 Mountain West).

Brown made 4 of 5 from 3-point range, 10 of 15 overall and 9 of 9 from the foul line in his third 30-point game of the season. The 33 points matched the sophomore's output in an 83-78 loss against Auburn on Dec. 22.

Frank Rogers scored 16 and Brandon Clarke added 14 for the Spartans (6-14, 1-7).
