Colorado State beats SE Louisiana 67-59 behind Omogbo

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) Emmanuel Omogbo scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and Colorado State beat Southeastern Louisiana 67-59 Friday in the California Bears Classic.
Devocio Butler scored 12 points off the bench for the Rams (4-1), who made just 19 of 51 from the floor (37 percent) but outrebounded the Lions 42-33.
Nico Carvacho's two free throws sparked a 12-3 run for a 19-10 lead and the Rams pulled away to a 29-19 halftime lead after preventing the Lions from scoring a field goal in the final 6:45. Both teams shot under 27 percent in the half but the Rams had only two turnovers.
J.D. Paige made a jumper and a 3-pointer as Colorado State opened the second half with a 13-8 run and led by as many as 17 points. The Lions pulled to within 65-57 on Davon Hayes' layup with 55 seconds left, but got no closer.
Marlain Veal scored 20 points, making 4 of 8 3-pointers, and Eddy Polanco added 15 points for the Lions (4-2).
