Colgate surges past Boston University 85-78

HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) Austin Tillotson made 3 of 6 from 3-point range and scored 22 to help Colgate beat Boston University 85-78 on Wednesday night.

Alex Ramon and Jordan Swopshire added 16 points each for Colgate (9-9, 5-2 Patriot), which made 14 of 25 3-point attempts and shot 58.3 percent overall. Swopshire was 5 of 7 and Ramon was 3 of 3 from beyond the arc. Malcolm Regisford scored 10.

The Raiders trailed by six early in the second half when Ramon's 3-point play sparked a 24-6 run that ended at 62-50 on Swopshire's 4-point play with 10:51 left.

Colgate led by as many as 18 and was up 85-69 with less than three minutes to go before BU (10-10, 3-4) scored the last nine points.

Cheddi Mosely had 17 points and Nathan Dieudonne had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Terriers. Kyle Foreman and Eric Fanning each scored 10.
