Colgate beats Bucknell 91-81 behind Rivard's 24 points

HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) Tom Rivard scored 24 on 10-of-12 shooting and fifth-place Colgate shot 60 percent from the field to upset Patriot League-leader Bucknell 91-81 Saturday and sweep the season series.

Austin Tillotson scored 20, Jordan Robertson added 17 and the Raiders (12-13, 8-6) made 33 of 55 field goals. Sean O'Brien made all eight of his free throws and finished with 14 points.

Trailing 44-42 at halftime, Bucknell took a 55-54 lead on Nate Jones' layup, but Colgate was back on top 65-56 after an 11-1 run capped by Robertson's 3-pointer with 12:01 left.

Bucknell closed to 74-70 on Jones' free throw, but the Raiders scored five straight for a 79-70 point lead, then led by 10 after Tillotson's free throw with 1:13 left. O'Brien made four free throws in the final minute to seal it.

Chris Hass scored 17 and Zach Thomas 15 for the Bison (13-12, 10-4), which lost to Colgate 84-73 on Jan. 16.
