Calloway leads Southern Utah in 101-56 rout of Life Pacific

CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) Freshman Jacob Calloway scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Christian Musoko scored 17 points and Southern Utah routed Life Pacific College 101-56 on Saturday night.

Randy Onwuasor's layup broke an 8-all tie and the Thunderbirds outscored the Warriors 35-5 over the next three minutes for a 45-13 lead. Race Parsons hit Southern Utah's fifth 3-pointer of the half and the Thunderbirds led 56-21 at halftime after shooting 58 percent from the floor and 55.6 percent from long distance.

John Marshall made a free throw with 7:52 left in the second half and the Thunderbirds led by 37 points and won going away.

Onwuasor, Ivan Madunic and Decardo Day scored 13 apiece.

All nine Thunderbirds who played scored at least two points and Southern Utah finished shooting 50.7 percent from the floor and 88.5 percent from the foul line.

Edgardo Campos led NCCAA-member Life Pacific with 12 points. Ramez Michail had 11.
