Belmont rides big 2nd half past Tennessee Martin, 82-72

MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) Amanze Egekeze knocked down six 3-pointers, including his first just 16 seconds into the game, and Belmont used a big second half to fend off Tennessee Martin, 82-72 Thursday to stay unbeaten in Ohio Valley Conference play.
The Bruins (14-6, 6-0) now have won four straight against the Skyhawks.
Three players scored 57 of Belmont's 72 points. Egekeze finished with 20 points, Craig Bradshaw added 19 and Evan Bradds 18. The Bruins launched 45 3-point attempts, making 14, and collected 19 assists on 28 made baskets.
Bradshaw hit three 3-pointers in the first six minutes of the second half to surge from a 33-32 halftime deficit into a 51-41 lead.
Myles Taylor scored 18 points to lead Tennessee Martin (10-10, 2-3). Twymond Howard added 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Alex Anderson contributed 12 points. The Skyhawks were 22 of 60 shooting (36.7 percent), but converted 21 of 25 from the line.
