Bell helps Nicholls State top Central Arkansas 68-64

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) Johnathan Bell scored 19 points, including a pair of free throws with two seconds left, and Nicholls State topped Central Arkansas 68-64 on Thursday.
Nicholls State (9-22, 5-12 Southland Conference) led through most of the first half, but a 15-2 run by Central Arkansas over 5:13 - which spanned halftime - gave the Bears a 39-38 lead with 15:21 to go. It was close from that point, and Schane Rillieux's jumper with 50 seconds left put the Colonels up by four.
Jordan Howard drilled a 3-pointer with four seconds remaining to pull Central Arkansas to within two, but after a timeout a foul put Bell on the line and he made both to ice it.
Adam Ward scored 11 points with eight rebounds and T.J. Carpenter added 10 for the Colonels.
Central Arkansas (7-20, 6-11) was led by Howard, who made 15 of 17 from the line, with 28 points and Mathieu Kamba added 11 points.
