Key’s first two 3-point shots sparked a 10-0 run for the Crimson Tide (4-2). Alabama quickly took control of the game from there as the Buccaneers (3-3) trailed by at least 10 points for the final 32 minutes of the game.

Avery Johnson Jr. and Ar’Mond Davis also finished in double figures for the Crimson Tide with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Armel Potter led the Buccaneers in points (12) and assists (3). Alabama’s success continued after halftime when Dazon Ingram added a 3-pointer and a layup to score the first five points in the second half. Ingram was 4 of 6 from the field for nine points and finished with a game-high four assists while turning the ball over just once.

Tuesday’s win was a welcome break for the Crimson Tide, which fell to 2016 NCAA Tournament team Dayton 77-72 earlier this season and faces fellow tournament teams Texas and Oregon in its next two games.

The Crimson Tide will leave Coleman Coliseum once again, this time to take on Texas, in the team’s first true road game of the season on Friday.
