Impact Miroshnichenko has no points, four shots and six hits in three contests with the Capitals this season. He's also recorded eight goals and 15 points in 27 outings with Hershey.

Hendrix Lapierre - Back with big club Lapierre was summoned from AHL Hershey on Wednesday, according to Tarik El-Bashir of Monumental Sports Network.
Impact Lapierre was reassigned for the start of the Christmas break, and he's back with the Capitals now that it's over. The 21-year-old has two goals and five points in 14 contests with Washington while averaging 9:55 of ice time this year.

Charlie Lindgren - Sharp in light night Lindgren made 19 saves in a 2-1 shootout loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.
Impact The only puck that got past him came from Luke Glendening, who deflected Victor Hedman's point shot in the first period. Lindgren needed to be sharp throughout and stoned Nick Paul with 1:52 left in the third after the forward got behind the defense. He's 2-1-2 in his last five starts with just nine goals allowed. Remarkably, 20 shots against is the lowest tally Lindgren has faced all season. He's more likely to see 35 shots than 20.

Impact Lindgren picked up the starting assignment Thursday in Columbus and was great, stopping 34 shots in a 3-2 overtime win. The victory boosted his record to 7-3-2 with a 2.40 GAA and .927 save percentage as he has outplayed Darcy Kuemper this season. The Lightning are tied for ninth in NHL scoring, averaging 3.41 goals per game.

Impact The future Hall of Famer had gone 14 games without finding the back of the net, but Ovechkin got off the schneid by snapping a shot past Elvis Merzlikins from the faceoff dot with less than a minute left in OT. Ovechkin's goal drought wasn't from lack of trying -- over the last 14 contests he has eight points and 44 shots on net -- and now that he's broken the ice, goals could come in bunches for the 38-year-old. Ovechkin is now 66 goals behind Wayne Gretzky for the all-time NHL record.

Impact The veteran blueliner put together his first multi-point performance of December, and vintage nights have been few and far between this season for Carlson. His only goal of 2023-24 came back on Oct. 18, a sudden drop for a player who lit the lamp 17 times just two seasons ago, and his 19 points in 30 games puts him on pace for his least productive full season since 2016-17.

Anthony Mantha - Two tallies in OT win Mantha scored two goals, one on the power play, in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.
Impact He only recorded two shots on net on the night, but both of them got past Elvis Merzlikins. Mantha was almost invisible through the first six weeks of the season, but he's come to life with six goals and 10 points over the last 12 games, and the 29-year-old found himself elevated to the Capitals' top power-play unit Thursday in place of Evgeny Kuznetsov. If that assignment sticks, Mantha will find himself on the fantasy radar even in shallower formats.

Impact The 30-year-old netminder twice let one-goal leads slip through his fingers, but Lindgren still got the victory thanks to an Alex Ovechkin winner. Lindgren continues to play well overall, and through six appearances in December he's gone 2-1-2 with a 2.52 GAA and .918 save percentage. With Darcy Kuemper also putting together a good month, the Capitals will likely continue splitting the workload in the crease between the two goalies.
