Jake DeBrusk - Garners two helpers in loss
DeBrusk notched two assists, two shots on goal and two PIM in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Sharks.
Impact
DeBrusk has earned a goal and four helpers over his last four games. He's on the top line currently, which gives him a little more scoring potential. The 29-year-old winger is up to 27 points (14 on the power play), 144 shots on net, 50 hits and a minus-12 rating through 52 appearances. DeBrusk can be streaky, so have a backup plan ready if his offense turns cold again.

Elias Pettersson - Dishes pair of assists
Pettersson logged two assists, two hits and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Sharks.
Impact
Pettersson has picked up four helpers over his last three games. The center is up to 33 points (11 on the power play), 86 shots on net, 75 blocked shots, 42 hits and a minus-15 rating over 45 appearances. He's had a decent season on a bad team, and his 75 blocks rank best among all NHL forwards, so he can still help in category coverage even if his offense is shaky.

ROTOWIRE
Tom Willander - Opens scoring in loss
Willander scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Sharks.
Impact
Willander missed Sunday's game versus the Penguins due to an illness, but he made a quick impact in his return to the lineup. Willander may see steadier playing time going forward while Zeev Buium (face) is out of action. Willander has three goals, 15 points, 37 shots on net, 38 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 41 appearances this season. Considering he's in a third-pairing role on a bad team, he's done fairly well on offense as a rookie.

Filip Hronek - Nets power-play tally
Hronek scored a power-play goal on three shots, added two hits, blocked two shots and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Sharks.
Impact
Hronek has two goals and two helpers over the last five games. The 28-year-old defenseman continues to be steady enough on offense to make up for the downsides of playing on a bad team. Hronek is at five goals, 31 points, 74 shots on net, 81 hits, 73 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 53 appearances. He'll go uncontested for the top power-play job while Zeev Buium (face) is on injured reserve, making Hronek a quality all-around target in fantasy.

ROTOWIRE
Nikita Tolopilo - Allows two goals in relief outing
Tolopilo gave up two goals on 27 shots in relief of Kevin Lankinen in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Sharks.
Impact
Tolopilo was able to stabilize things after Lankinen was pulled just 5:55 into the game with the Canucks down 3-1. Both goals Tolopilo allowed came on San Jose power plays. For the season, Tolopilo is 2-3-0 with a 3.72 GAA and an .887 save percentage in seven appearances. He's been alternating between the NHL and AHL, sharing the backup role in Vancouver with Jiri Patera, so it's unclear if Tolopilo will see enough time or perform well enough to warrant consideration in fantasy.

ROTOWIRE
Kevin Lankinen - Pulled early Tuesday
Lankinen stopped three of six shots before he was relieved by Nikita Tolopilo in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Sharks.
Impact
Lankinen was pulled 5:55 into the game with the Canucks already trailing 3-1. The 30-year-old is in line for the bulk of the starts in Vancouver for the rest of the season since Thatcher Demko (hip) is set for season-ending surgery. Lankinen's workload may be more secure, but his results will likely keep fantasy managers away. He's now 1-7-1 in January and 7-17-4 on the season with a 3.54 GAA and an .881 save percentage through 29 appearances. The Canucks' next game is Thursday at home versus the Ducks.

Tom Willander - Good to go Tuesday
Willander (illness) will be in the lineup versus the Sharks on Tuesday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Impact
Willander missed Sunday's game while ill, but that looks to be the extent of his absence. Pierre-Olivier Joseph will be scratched to make room for Willander on the third pairing for Tuesday's contest.
