Impact Lankinen will look to bounce back from a brutal start on Tuesday in Pittsburgh when he faces Montreal Saturday night in Vancouver. The 30-year-old has been a rock-solid backup option behind Thatcher Demko, picking up 25 wins to go along with a 2.62 GAA in 51 appearances last season.

Impact Mancini played four games for the Canucks earlier in the month, going scoreless with four blocked shots and six hits. The Canucks reassigned defenseman Tom Willander in a corresponding move.

Impact Willander was a healthy scratch for both games after he was recalled Oct. 20. The 20-year-old was selected 11th overall in the 2023 Draft and has yet to appear in an NHL game. He will get plenty of ice time in Abbotsford and could be recalled later in the season. The Canucks recalled defenseman Victor Mancini in a corresponding move.

Jonathan Lekkerimäki - Out another 2-3 weeks Lekkerimaki (undisclosed) is expected to miss another 2-3 weeks, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports Friday.
Impact Lekkerimaki left Sunday's 4-3 win over Washington because of the injury and has missed Vancouver's past two games. He has a goal, three shots and five hits in four appearances in 2025-26. Lukas Reichel was acquired by Vancouver from Chicago on Friday in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick, and the 23-year-old Reichel should be a regular in the Canucks' lineup going forward. That acquisition will likely make it harder for Lekkerimaki to find a role with Vancouver once he's healthy.

Derek Forbort - Considered week-to-week General manager Patrik Allvin said Friday that Forbort (undisclosed) had a setback in his recovery and is now considered week-to-week, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.
Impact Forbort has been on injured reserve since mid-October, and while an initial timetable for his return was unclear, it's discouraging that he had a setback. The 33-year-old isn't guaranteed to be a consistent presence in the lineup once he returns to full health.
