Impact Myers logged 21:48 of ice time Saturday, his first time over 20 minutes in five games. He had to help cover for Quinn Hughes, who was ejected after a boarding major and game misconduct in the first period. Myers has picked up the pace with three points over his last five games, giving him one goal, four assists, 19 shots on net, 18 hits, 33 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 19 appearances this season. Myers should get back to a slightly smaller workload Tuesday versus the Bruins assuming Hughes avoids supplemental discipline.

Impact Blueger scored for the second time in four games, giving the Canucks a 2-1 lead in the second period. The 30-year-old center has done well in a third-line role this season and is likely to see slightly increased responsibilities while J.T. Miller (personal) is away from the team. Impact He pulled the D toward him, pulled up and found Teddy Blueger trailing. Sasson played 7:49 and finished plus-1. And he earned the requisite shaving cream bomb from teammates in a TV interview after the game. Sasson is a bottom-six guy with a motor that never quits. His fantasy game is limited, but his enthusiasm is great to watch.

Quinn Hughes - Ejected for boarding Hughes received a game misconduct and five-minute major for boarding in the first period of Saturday's 4-3 win over Ottawa.

Impact He drilled Josh Norris into the boards from behind. It wasn't a hard hit, but Norris was cut and left the game temporarily. That means officials had no option but to issue a boarding major -- rule 41.5 enforces a game misconduct when there is an injury to the face or head of the opponent. And a match penalty means an automatic review by the NHL. Hughes and Norris are close friends who played together for the USNTDP and University of Michigan. A suspension is unlikely, but the reality is that Hughes had a brain burp -- no guy should cross check a player in the numbers at that distance from the boards.

Kevin Lankinen - Bends but doesn't break in barrage Lankinen made 26 saves in a 4-3 win over Ottawa on Saturday.

Impact He bent, but didn't break late in the third period when the Senators stormed the castle. Lankinen allowed two late goals in a 2:47 span with the Sens net empty and the extra attacker on the ice. One of the those goals came while the Sens were up six-on-four, and Lanks barely had a chance. Still, it was a strong rebound for Lankinen, who'd been lit up for 16 goals in his previous four games. His play continues to give the Orcas a chance while Thatcher Demko (knee) is on the IR.

Elias Pettersson - Four-game, six-point scoring streak Pettersson had two helpers Saturday in a 4-3 victory over the Senators.

Impact Ten of Pettersson's 15 points have come in his last seven games; it includes four goals and six assists. And he's on a four-game, six-point scoring streak (two goals, four assists). Pettersson still has a long way to go, but it looks like he's put his early-season malaise behind him. He needs to pick up his shot pace, though. With 40 shots in 19 games, Pettersson is on pace for just 170 shots, a significant drop from 207 last year and 257 the one before that. He's converting at about the same rate as he always has, which will mean he might fail to hit 30 goals for the first time in four seasons.

Impact His goal stood as the winner. Sherwood pounced on a loose puck in the crease at 8:41 of the third period and drove it past Linus Ullmark to push the score to 4-1. He's on a four-game, five-point scoring streak that includes three goals, 11 shots and a whopping 30 hits. Sherwood has been a great fantasy surprise this season -- he has six goals, five assists and a league-leading 125 hits in just 19 games. That's gold in leagues where muscle still counts.

De Brusk then put his team up 3-1 in the second with a sweet deke on the backhand around Linus Ullmark's outstretched left pad on a rush. Vancouver has been a great fit for De Brusk, who has 13 points (five goals, eight assists), 35 hits and 36 shots in 19 games. That's a 56-point pace, which would be a career mark if he can continue at this rate.
