The 23-year-old's name has circled in recent trade rumors, as it appears his 36-point breakout in 2023-24 was an anomaly in the Canucks' system. This season, he's at five points, 26 shots on net, 34 hits and 20 PIM through 25 contests overall, and he's likely to be little more than a third-line option until he can show more on offense.

Vincent Desharnais - Pockets assist Friday Desharnais notched an assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and four blocked shots in Friday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Impact Desharnais helped out on Brock Boeser's second-period tally, which sparked the Canucks' comeback effort. The assist was Desharnais' first point since Oct. 26. The 28-year-old defenseman has had the first chance to fill the lineup spot vacated by Filip Hronek (lower body), who is likely out until late January. Desharnais is at two helpers, 11 shots on net, 13 PIM, 20 hits, 23 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 15 appearances, and he'll likely be limited to shutdown minutes in a bottom-four role.

Impact Blueger ended a five-game slump when he set up a Kiefer Sherwood goal in the second period. The helper gave Blueger 11 points through 25 contests this season. He's added 28 shots on net, 35 hits, 14 blocked shots, 13 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 25 appearances. Blueger won't have widespread fantasy appeal, but he chips in a little bit across the board to carry value in formats that reward balanced production.

Impact Suter's first goal stood as the game-winner, and he also added an empty-netter. Overall, Suter is at 11 goals, 16 points, 48 shots on net and a plus-3 rating through 24 appearances. He's not much of a factor on the power play, but his spot in the lineup at even strength makes him worth a look in fantasy formats with a focus on offense.

Kevin Lankinen - Sharp in win Lankinen stopped 30 of 32 shots in Friday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Impact The Blue Jackets came out hot with two goals in the first period, but Lankinen shut the door the rest of the way. The 29-year-old picked up his fifth win in the last six starts, though this was just the second time in that span he allowed fewer than three goals. He's now at 13-3-3 with a 2.62 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 19 appearances. Thatcher Demko (knee) served as backup Friday and will likely claim at least a 50-50 split in goal moving forward, though the Canucks have kept Arturs Silovs around for now as extra insurance in goal. It's possible Demko makes his season debut Sunday versus the Lightning.
