Derek Forbort - Sitting out Saturday Forbort (illness) won't be in the lineup against Boston on Saturday, according to Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650.
Impact Forbort was absent from the morning skate and will miss at least one game. He has one assist, three shots on goal, six blocked shots and one hit in five appearances this season. Erik Brannstrom will replace Forbort in Saturday's lineup.

Kevin Lankinen - Dealing with illness Lankinen isn't expected to dress for Saturday's home game against Boston due to an illness, according to Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650.
Impact Lankinen has a 14-4-3 record, 2.52 GAA and .912 save percentage in 21 appearances in 2024-25. Thatcher Demko is set to start against the Bruins, and Arturs Silovs was recalled from AHL Abbotsford to serve as Demko's understudy.

Impact Demko will be back between the pipes after allowing four goals on 25 shots in his season debut Tuesday. He'll face a Bruins team that's dropped back-to-back contests, scoring just one goal in each game.

Impact The Canucks noted that Silovs' call-up falls under a goaltender exemption but didn't provide the reason for his presence on the roster. Thatcher Demko has played in one game after returning from a knee problem, and Kevin Lankinen posted a 27-save shutout win over Florida on Thursday.

Impact Sasson has four assists in nine appearances with Vancouver in 2024-25. The timing of this demotion is a touch awkward because Sasson registered two assists in the Canucks' 4-0 win over Florida on Thursday. Vancouver also demoted Aatu Raty is a corresponding move, which leaves the Canucks with 11 forwards on their roster. Unless a trade happens, Vancouver will presumably recall Sasson or another forward before Saturday's tilt against the Bruins.

Impact Raty has two goals and four points in 20 appearances in 2024-25. He was a healthy scratch for Thursday's 4-0 win over Florida, which coincided with J.T. Miller's (personal) return to the lineup. Now that Miller is available, the Canucks don't have any forwards on the shelf, which is presumably why Raty is now in the minors.
