GAME LOG

Elias Pettersson - Deals power-play helper Pettersson logged a power-play assist in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Utah.
Impact Pettersson set up a Jake DeBrusk tally in the second period. The goal drought continues for Pettersson -- he's come up empty on 17 shots over his last 11 games, and that low of a volume is concern enough. He's at least salvaged some offense with five assists in that span, but that's not enough for a top-line center. He's now at 35 points, 93 shots on net, 60 blocked shots, 47 hits and a minus-4 rating across 51 appearances.

Jake DeBrusk - Scores lone goal in loss DeBrusk scored a power-play goal on four shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Utah.
Impact DeBrusk has come out of the break firing with two goals and six shots on net over two contests since play resumed. With four goals and a helper over the last seven games, DeBrusk has been one of the Canucks' best scorers in a stretch where they've totaled just 14 goals. He's at 35 points (13 on the power play), 114 shots on net, 80 hits and a minus-6 rating over 57 appearances this season.
FEBRUARY 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Arturs Silovs - Strong showing in loss Silovs stopped 30 of 32 shots in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Utah.
Impact Silovs wasn't the problem for the Canucks -- this loss can be blamed on a lack of offense, as the team mustered just 15 shots on net. This was Silovs' first NHL action since Nov. 27 versus the Penguins. He's with the big club while Thatcher Demko (lower body) is on the shelf. Silovs is 1-5-1 with a 3.82 GAA and an .862 save percentage over eight appearances this season. Kevin Lankinen is likely to handle the starting job, but the Canucks have another back-to-back up next with games in Los Angeles on Wednesday and Anaheim on Thursday, which could afford Silovs another start.

Quinn Hughes - Won't play Sunday Hughes (oblique) will be unavailable for Sunday's matchup against Utah, per Thomas Drance of The Athletic.
Impact Hughes will miss his sixth straight game. He has accounted for 14 goals, 59 points, 136 shots on net and 44 blocked shots through 47 appearances this season. Hughes' next chance to play will come Wednesday against the Kings.
FEBRUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Arturs Silovs - Set to start on road Silovs will draw the start in Sunday's road game against Utah, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Impact Silovs will start in the second half of a back-to-back set after Kevin Lankinen tended the twine in Saturday's loss to Vegas. Silovs hasn't made an appearance in the NHL since Nov. 27, and he's gone 1-4-1 with a 4.11 GAA and .847 save percentage over seven outings with the Canucks this season.
FEBRUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Victor Mancini - Back with Vancouver Mancini was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Sunday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Impact Mancini will rejoin Vancouver ahead of Sunday's game in Utah with Quinn Hughes (oblique) still considered day-to-day. Mancini appeared in 15 NHL games with the Rangers earlier this season, logging a goal and five points, before joining the Canucks in the JT.. Miller trade.
FEBRUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Thatcher Demko - Surfaces on IR Demko (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Impact Demko is week-to-week and unavailable for at least the remaining four games of Vancouver's road trip. He has posted a 6-6-3 record with one shutout, a 2.87 GAA and an .891 save percentage in 17 appearances this season. Due to Demko's absence, Arturs Silovs was the backup behind Kevin Lankinen in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Vegas.

Nikita Tolopilo - Sent down Saturday Tolopilo was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Impact Tolopilo was up as a practice player earlier in the week, but he was never likely to stay with the big club for a long time. Kevin Lankinen and Arturs Silovs will man the crease for Vancouver while Thatcher Demko (lower body) is out, allowing Tolopilo to get more playing time with Abbotsford.
FEBRUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Noah Juulsen - On injured reserve Juulsen (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Impact Juulsen isn't on the Canucks' five-game road trip, so the move frees up a roster spot if they need it later on. He's unlikely to be back in action any earlier than March 5 versus the Ducks. Elias Pettersson and Carson Soucy played as the third pairing Saturday versus the Golden Knights, but Quinn Hughes (oblique) may be back before Juulsen to create competition on the blue line.
FEBRUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Carson Soucy - Plucks apple in loss Soucy notched a helper and two blocked shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact Soucy helped out on a Jake DeBrusk tally in the second period. Injuries to Quinn Hughes (oblique) and Noah Juulsen (undisclosed) have offered a reprieve to Soucy's diminishing playing time, but he needs to elevate his game to avoid the occasional trip to the press box. For the season, the defenseman has nine points, 60 shots on net, 83 hits, 87 blocked shots, 42 PIM and a minus-15 rating through 55 appearances, a level of production that likely isn't enough to keep him in the lineup once the team is at full strength.
FEBRUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Kiefer Sherwood - Heavy hitter again in loss Sherwood registered an assist and nine hits in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact Sherwood has two helpers and 30 hits over five contests since returning from an undisclosed injury at the start of February. The 29-year-old winger got a look on the top line at even strength but ended up with just 14:22 of ice time Saturday, indicating he's still functionally a middle-six forward. For the season, Sherwood has been a beast in leagues that count hits, He has 23 points, 303 hits, 94 shots on net, 22 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 52 contests. He remains on pace to be the first player in NHL history to have a 400-hit season, as long as he can avoid any additional injury absences.

Jake DeBrusk - Earns 300th career point DeBrusk scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact The goal was DeBrusk's 300th career point, a milestone he achieved in his 521st game. The 28-year-old has been decent recently with three goals and two assists over his last eight outings, though he likely needs to step up his production to remain firmly in the top six. The winger is at 20 goals, 34 points, 110 shots on net, 79 hits and a minus-6 rating across 56 appearances. This is the fourth time in eight seasons he's reached the 20-goal mark, and his career high of 27 tallies -- a total he's achieved twice -- is definitely within range if he stays consistent.
FEBRUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Kevin Lankinen - Outplayed in low-scoring game Lankinen stopped 32 of 34 shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights. The third goal was an empty-netter.
Impact Lankinen was good, but Adin Hill was just a little better as the Golden Knights came back from 1-0 down in this game. The 29-year-old Lankinen looks to be the Canucks' No. 1 for a while -- Thatcher Demko (lower body) is week-to-week and isn't on the Canucks' five-game road trip. Lankinen is 3-1-1 with nine goals allowed over his last five outings, and he's at a 19-9-7 record with a 2.52 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 35 contests this season. Demko's injury history is concerning enough that the Canucks signed Lankinen to a five-year extension Friday, so he's likely to be at least a "1B' option for the next few years. That has value in all fantasy formats, where he's no worse than a No. 3 goalie for virtual squads and will often elevate to No. 2 status when he's seeing significant playing time.
