Daniil Tarasov - Sustains injury Thursday Tarasov sustained an apparent lower-body injury in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Lightning, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Impact Tarasov was hurt on the Lightning's fifth goal, and Sergei Bobrovsky came into the game to replace him. The severity of Tarasov's injury isn't yet known. He allowed five goals on 25 shots prior to the injury. He'll have three weeks to recover while the Panthers are off for the Olympic break.

Sandis Vilmanis - Good to play Thursday Vilmanis (upper body) is set to play Thursday versus Tampa Bay, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Impact Vilmanis exited Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win over Boston, but it seems he won't miss a full game due to the injury. He has two goals, four points, four PIM and 27 hits in 13 appearances while averaging 10:07 of ice time this season. Vilmanis is projected to serve on the fourth line against the Lightning.
FEBRUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Aaron Ekblad - Ruled out for Thursday's game Ekblad has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Lightning for an undisclosed reason, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Impact While the reason for Ekblad's absence isn't yet known, he's one of several players who will miss the Panthers' final game before the Olympic break. The 29-year-old has recorded a goal, five assists, 24 hits, 24 blocked shots and 17 PIM while averaging 22:45 of ice time over 17 appearances since the start of the calendar year. Mikulas Hovorka will draw into the lineup to make his NHL debut Thursday, while head coach Paul Maurice indicated that he isn't concerned about Ekblad's status following the Olympic break.
FEBRUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Brad Marchand - Won't play Thursday Marchand (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup Thursday versus Tampa Bay, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Impact Marchand returned from an undisclosed injury for Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win over Boston, but he logged just 10:55 of ice time in that game. It's not clear if Marchand is dealing with a new issue or if this is an extension of the issue that previously forced him to miss time. Marchand's next chance to play for Florida will come Feb. 26, but if he's able to, Marchand is expected to play for Team Canada during the Olympics. Canada's first game of the tournament is set for Feb. 12 against Czechia.
FEBRUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Evan Rodrigues - Unavailable Thursday Rodrigues will miss Thursday's game in Tampa Bay due to an illness, per Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Impact Rodrigues has 10 goals and 25 points in 56 outings in 2025-26. Luke Kunin is set to draw into the lineup due to Rodrigues' absence. This is the final day before the Olympic break, so Rodrigues' next opportunity to play for Florida will come Feb. 26 versus Toronto.

Daniil Tarasov - Set to face Tampa Bay Tarasov is set to start on the road against Tampa Bay on Thursday, per Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Impact Tarasov is getting his first opportunity to play since he stopped 26 of 31 shots en route to a 5-4 loss to St. Louis on Jan. 29. He's 8-7-2 with a 2.67 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 18 outings in 2025-26. Tampa Bay has been one of the league's top teams dating back to Dec. 20, posting an 18-1-1 record while scoring an outstanding 4.10 goals per game over that stretch.

Josh Davies - On unconditional waivers Davies was put on unconditional waivers by Florida on Thursday for the purposes of terminating his contract, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Impact Davies has eight goals, 12 points and 51 PIM in 31 outings with ECHL Savannah this season. The 21-year-old was selected by Florida with the No. 186 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, and he hasn't played at the top level. This move will make him a free agent, ending his entry-level contract that was originally signed Dec. 7, 2023.
FEBRUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Eetu Luostarinen - Nets goal in Wednesday's win Luostarinen scored a goal, added six PIM and logged three hits in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Bruins.
Impact Luostarinen opened the scoring 4:22 into the game. This was his second goal in the last three contests. The 27-year-old forward is up to seven goals, 24 points, 75 shots on net, 98 hits, 38 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 48 appearances. He's matched his point total from 80 regular-season outings last year, and he's on pace to reach the 30-point mark for just the second time in his career.
FEBRUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Mikulas Hovorka - Summoned from AHL Hovorka was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Thursday, per the NHL media site.
Impact Hovorka could make his NHL debut Thursday in Tampa Bay, though it's more likely that he will be a healthy scratch as the Panthers' seventh blueliner. The defenseman had two goals and eight assists in 30 AHL appearances before his callup. The Panthers placed Tobias Bjornfot (undisclosed) on injured reserve in a corresponding move.
FEBRUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Tobias Bjornfot - Placed on injured reserve Bjornfot (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, per the NHL media site.
Impact Bjornfot had already been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Lightning after he sustained an injury against the Bruins on Wednesday. However, his move to injured reserve won't impact his return timetable due to the Olympic break, and the transaction allows the Panthers to recall Mikulas Hovorka to provide additional depth against Tampa Bay.

Uvis Balinskis - Big night on power play Balinskis scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Bruins.
Impact Both points came early in the second period, as Balinskis tied the game at 2-2 just 30 seconds into the frame before having a hand in a Matthew Tkachuk tally a little over two minutes later. Balinskis has been getting a look on Florida's top power-play unit, and he's taken advantage with two goals and four points over the last four games -- all of it coming with the man advantage.
FEBRUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Matthew Tkachuk - Two-point effort Wednesday Tkachuk produced a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Bruins.
Impact Both points came early in the second period, as Tkachuk helped set up Uvis Balinskis for a tally before potting his own just over two minutes later. Tkachuk has three multi-point performances in the last seven games but was held off the scoresheet entirely in the other four, and while he's still looking for some consistency after his belated start to the season, the 28-year-old winger has three goals and eight points in his first nine games of 2025-26, with most of that offense (two goals, four assists) coming with the man advantage.
FEBRUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Anton Lundell - Comes up big in return Wednesday Lundell scored a shorthanded goal and added two power-play assists in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Bruins.
Impact All three points came in the second period, and when that scoring outburst wasn't enough to win the game for the Panthers, Lundell kicked off the shootout by slipping a backhand past Joonas Korpisalo. Lundell had missed the prior three games with an upper-body injury, but he looked fully fit in his return. The 24-year-old center has three goals and eight points in his last 10 appearances, and he'll get one more game Thursday against the Lightning to add to those numbers before joining Team Finland for the Olympics.
FEBRUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Sergei Bobrovsky - Hangs on for shootout win Bobrovsky turned aside 25 shots in regulation and overtime and three of four shootout attempts during Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Bruins.
Impact The Panthers took a 4-2 lead into the third period, but Bobrovsky nearly let it slip away, giving up goals to Mark Kastelic and Casey Mittelstadt to force OT. However, the two-time Vezina winner came up big in the clutch, as only Viktor Arvidsson got a puck past him in the shootout. Bobrovsky is likely looking forward to the Olympic break -- over 12 outings since the beginning of January, he's stumbled to a 4-8-0 record with a 3.86 GAA and .833 save percentage.
