Charles Alexis Legault - Sent to AHL Legault (hand) was activated from injured reserve and assigned to AHL Chicago on Monday.
Impact Legault made his NHL debut early this season but sustained a hand injury in November that required surgery to repair several torn extensor tendons. However, he's been cleared to return to game action in the minors just before the NHL's Olympic break. Legault has made 65 regular-season appearances in the AHL across the past two seasons, recording three goals, 11 assists, 58 PIM and a plus-11 rating.

Shayne Gostisbehere - Dishes two assists in overtime win Gostisbehere notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.
Impact Gostisbehere has three goals and three helpers over three games since he returned from a lower-body injury. The 32-year-old helped out on Jordan Staal's opening goal and Sebastian Aho's game-winner. Gostisbehere has been excellent when healthy, racking up nine goals, 29 helpers, 13 power-play points, 80 shots on net, 44 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating through 38 appearances. He should benefit from the Olympic break to get some rest, assuming he stays healthy through the last two games prior to the break.

Jordan Staal - Buries power-play goal Staal scored a power-play goal on two shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.
Impact Staal has three goals and an assist over his last five games. His tally at 6:25 of the first period was his first power-play contribution since he scored with the man advantage in consecutive games Dec. 7-9. The 37-year-old center is up to 13 goals -- matching his regular-season total from last year -- while adding 11 assists, 72 shots on net, 103 hits, 28 blocked shots, 25 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 52 appearances.

Alexander Nikishin - Pots goal Sunday Nikishin scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.
Impact Nikishin has earned two goals, six points, 21 shots on net, 19 hits and 11 blocked shots over his last 12 outings. The defenseman's third-period tally Sunday put the Hurricanes ahead 2-0, though the Kings got on the board just 24 seconds later. Nikishin is up to seven goals, 22 points, 86 shots, 99 hits, 62 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 54 appearances this season.

Sebastian Aho - Scores game-winner in overtime Aho scored a goal on five shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.
Impact Aho wasn't able to save the Hurricanes in Saturday's overtime loss to the Capitals, but he kept them from hitting the skids after another blown lead. The 28-year-old tallied 1:25 into the extra session for his 19th goal and third game-winner this season. Prior to scoring in consecutive contests, Aho had gone 12 games without a goal, a span in which he logged 10 assists. For the season, he's at 54 points, 126 shots, 49 hits and a plus-10 rating over 55 appearances.

Brandon Bussi - Light workload in overtime win Bussi stopped 11 of 13 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.
Impact Bussi didn't have his best performance, but he was able to earn his fifth straight win. He's faced fewer than 20 shots in three of those victories, as the Hurricanes have their preferred defense rolling in strong form. Bussi improved to 21-3-1 with a 2.21 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 25 starts this season. The 27-year-old has mostly shared the crease with Frederik Andersen lately, so it wouldn't be surprising if the two goalies split the last two games before the Olympic break. The Hurricanes host the Senators on Tuesday before visiting the Rangers on Thursday.

Brandon Bussi - Starting against LA Bussi will get the start Sunday against the Kings, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Impact Three days after becoming the fastest goaltender in NHL history to reach 20 wins, Bussi will get yet another start. The 27-year-old rookie needed just 24 games to reach that milestone as he carries a 20-3-1 record, 2.22 GAA and a .906 save percentage into his 25th NHL start. The Kings await him, 28th in the league at 2.58 goals per game.
