Owen Power - Pots goal in loss Power scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
Impact Power's tally tied the game at 1-1 in the first period, but the Hurricanes were able to pull away in the second. The 22-year-old Power figures to play a larger role in the short term while Rasmus Dahlin (personal) is away from the team. For the season, Power has two goals, six points, 20 shots on net, 13 blocked shots, eight hits and a minus-5 rating over 14 outings.

Alex Lyon - Beaten four times Saturday Lyon stopped 29 of 33 shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes. The other two goals were empty-netters late in the third period.
Impact Lyon was beaten once in the first period, twice in the second and once more in the third. The Sabres managed to reduce the deficit to one goal and decided to pull Lyon out late in the game, but Carolina took advantage of that to ice the game for good with two empty-netters. This was Lyon's fourth straight loss of the season. The 32-year-old has gone 0-1-3 with a 3.44 GAA and an .891 save percentage in that span. His last win came against the Maple Leafs on Oct. 24.

Tage Thompson - Scores, assists in loss Thompson recorded a goal, an assist, four shots and two hits in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
Impact Thompson was involved in both of the Sabres' third-period goals, setting up Alex Tuch's strike and later finding the twine with a snap shot past Pyotr Kochetkov at the 6:49 mark. Even though those two goals weren't enough to mount a late comeback, at least they allowed Thompson to snap a brief two-game pointless skid. The 28-year-old center has three points in four games this month after opening the season with nine points (four goals, five assists) in 11 contests in October.

Alex Tuch - Two points in loss Saturday Tuch recorded a goal, an assist and three hits in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
Impact Tuch found the back of the net at the 3:23 mark of the third period when the Sabres attempted a comeback, and he'd later set up Tage Thompson's goal a few minutes later. Tuch has been productive of late and has cracked the scoresheet in four of his last six games with Buffalo, tallying seven points (three goals, four assists), 11 shots, five hits, five blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over that span.

Impact Mrtka has settled right back in for the Thunderbirds with six assists over five games since he was transferred back to the junior team from AHL Rochester. The Sabres prospect will continue to lead the blue line in Seattle for the remainder of 2025-26. As an import player, he will be eligible to suit up in the AHL before he's 20 years old, and that could lead to him playing for Rochester in 2026-27, as he probably doesn't have much left to learn in junior hockey.
