Greg Van Roten - Ruled out from returning Week 9 Van Roten (hamstring) wasn't activated from IR ahead of Sunday's tilt against the Packers, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.

Impact Van Roten was placed on IR due to a hamstring issue in late September before being designated to return Wednesday. He was limited in all three practices this week, and New England has elected to hold him out of gameday action for at least another week. Van Roten's next chance to suit up is Sunday, Nov. 15, against Detroit.

Chris Brooks - Not yet slated to return The Packers didn't activate Brooks (ankle) from injured reserve Saturday, Weston Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Impact Brooks landed on IR in early October and has missed the required four games. He was designated to return Wednesday and was limited in practice all week before drawing a tag of questionable tag for Sunday's game against New England. The running back didn't end up being activated Saturday, so Brooks isn't eligible to suit up again until at least Sunday, Nov. 15, against Minnesota.
