Mike Williams - Recovery timetable TBD Coach Brandon Staley declined to speculate on how much time Williams might miss with his ankle injury, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Impact The Chargers are on bye Week 8, which gives the team some time to evaluate the wideout ahead of a contest against the Falcons on Sunday, Nov. 6, but at this stage, Daniel Popper of The Athletic relays via Staley that Williams seems likely to miss "weeks not days" with his ankle sprain. If that's the case, added WR snaps will be available for Joshua Palmer (assuming he returns from a concussion that sidelined him Sunday) and DeAndre Carter alongside Keenan Allen (hamstring).

Michael Davis - Likely to take over starting role Davis is expected to step in as one of the Chargers' starting cornerbacks in place of J.C. Jackson (kneecap) this season, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Davis has filled in when Jackson was previously sidelined this season, playing 100 percent of the Chargers' defensive snaps in two of the first three weeks, as well as 62 defensive snaps over the last two games. Now, with Jackson sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a ruptured patellar tendon, the 27-year-old Davis should step up into a full-time starting spot. The veteran also recorded 21 tackles and one pass defended over the Bolts' first seven contests, and he should see increased production while playing opposite Asante Samuel moving forward.

J.C. Jackson - Out for season Chargers coach Brandon Staley says that Jackson will miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a ruptured his patellar tendon Monday, Daniel Popper of The Athleti...
Impact Jackson suffered what was initially labeled as a dislocated right kneecap in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. However, an MRI exam appears to have revealed that this injury was much more significant, leaving the 26-year-old sidelined until at least the 2023 campaign. Jackson played just two full games after signing a five-year, $82.5 million contract with the Chargers this offseason, as he was sidelined in Weeks 1 and 3 with a lingering ankle issue and was benched at halftime of a Week 6 loss to Denver. In his stead, Michael Davis should take over as the Bolts' starting cornerback opposite Asante Samuel.

Seahawks might be for real; Bucs offense is broken: NFL notes and analysis
Mike Williams - Diagnosed with high-ankle sprain Williams (ankle) was diagnosed Monday with a right high-ankle sprain and is expected to "miss some time," Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact Williams caught seven passes for 86 yards and a score before leaving Sunday's loss to the Seahawks late in the fourth quarter. Keenan Allen returned to action Sunday following a five-game absence due to a hamstring issue but was limited to just two catches for 11 yards across 23 offensive snaps. It's unclear how much time Williams will miss or if a stint on injured reserve is a possibility, but Allen will have to step up as the go-to target in Williams' absence. The Chargers are on bye Week 8 before returning to action Sunday, Nov. 6 in Atlanta.
