INJURIES

Logan Thomas - Likely to play in Week 12 Thomas (ribs/illness) remains listed as questionable but is in line to play Sunday against the Falcons, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact A lingering rib injury followed Thomas into Week 12 prep, limiting him at practice Wednesday and Thursday. An illness then prevented him from doing any on-field work Friday, resulting in him taking a designation into the weekend. Head coach Ron Rivera told John Keim of ESPN.com on Friday that he expected Thomas to be available this weekend, and Schefter's report backs up that assessment. Still, Thomas' status won't be clarified until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Alex Erickson - Set to take over punt-return duties The Commanders elevated Erickson from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.
Impact Washington needs a kick returner with Dax Milne (foot) ruled out Sunday against Atlanta, and Erickson's elevation could have him taking over punt returns, per Sam Fortier of The Washington Post. This is Erickson's first elevation of the campaign after handling both kickoff and punt returns while playing a minimal role on offense for Carolina last season.

Logan Thomas - Misses practice with illness Thomas, who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta, is dealing with an illness in addition to a rib injury, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Impact Thomas was a limited practice participant Wednesday and Thursday before sitting out Friday. HIs absence Friday was due to the ailment and not a setback with the rib injury, with head coach Ron Rivera saying after practice that he expects Thomas to play Sunday against the Falcons. If not, the Commanders will be left with John Bates and Cole Turner as their top tight ends ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
NOVEMBER 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Chase Young - Week 12 availability uncertain Young (knee) is considered questionable to play Sunday against the Falcons, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Young remained limited in each practice prior to this weekend's matchup versus Atlanta, indicating the possibility of the former No. 2 overall pick making his season debut as early as Sunday. If it's eventually concluded that another week of recovery is necessary for Young, then James Smith-Williams would likely continue serving as a prominent contributor on the team's defensive line.
NOVEMBER 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Benjamin St-Juste - Missing first game of the year St-Juste (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact St-Juste sustained an apparent ankle injury in the Week 11 win over Houston, and he ultimately failed to practice in any capacity prior to Sunday's contest versus Atlanta. With the 25-year-old sidelined, Kendall Fuller, Bobby McCain and Rachad Wildgoose are in line to operate as Washington's top cornerbacks.
NOVEMBER 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dax Milne - Won't suit up Sunday Milne (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Milne is slated to miss his first contest of the 2022-23 campaign as a result of a foot injury. Though the 23-year-old's offensive opportunities have been limited this season, he's seen work as a returner on both kickoffs and punts across Washington's first 11 weeks. In his absence, Antonio Gibson is likely the next man up to handle kick returns, while Jahan Dotson is expected to operate as the team's primary punt returner in Sunday's matchup versus Atlanta.

Logan Thomas - Expected to play Thomas (ribs) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta, with Commanders coach Ron Rivera saying Friday that he expects Thomas to play, John Keim of ESPN.com repo...
Impact Thomas managed limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, after catching five of six targets for a team-high 65 yards in Sunday's win over the Texans. He's otherwise had a quiet season, but he at least runs routes on most of Washington's pass plays whenever he's healthy and does have a history of fantasy utility (mostly in 2020). If Thomas ends up missing the game, which doesn't sound likely, the Commanders will be down to John Bates and Cole Turner at tight end, with the former more of an inline blocker and the latter more likely to run routes from the slot.
NOVEMBER 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Milo Eifler - Activated from IR The Commanders activated Eifler (hamstring) from injured reserve Friday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Eifler sustained a hamstring injury back in Week 4 versus the Cowboys, and he was then placed on injured reserve up until the team designated his return Tuesday. Following Friday's activation, along with Cole Holcomb (foot) and Drew White (knee) both currently on IR, the 225-pounder is slated to operate as Washington's top available middle linebacker Sunday against the Falcons.
NOVEMBER 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Cole Holcomb - IR-bound with foot injury Washington placed Holcomb (foot) on its injured reserve Friday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Holcomb had already missed the Commanders' last four games dealing with the foot injury, and after meeting with a specialist before landing on IR, he'll now have to miss at least the next four games. Until Holcomb is healthy enough to play again, Jamin Davis, David Mayo and Jon Bostic should continue to do the heavy lifting at linebacker for Washington.

NFL odds Week 12: Why Buffalo Bills will cover, other best bets
David Mayo - Gets upgraded Mayo (hamstring) was listed as a full participant on Thursday's practice report.
Impact Mayo hasn't played since Week 8 against the Colts due to the injury, but it appears he'll finally return Sunday against Atlanta. The return of the veteran starting linebacker should be good news for the Commanders' defense when they host the Falcons for Week 12.
NOVEMBER 24, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Logan Thomas - Remains limited Thursday Thomas (ribs) was listed as limited on Tuesday's practice estimate.
Impact Last week, Thomas kicked it off with back-to-back capped sessions, but a full listing Friday cleared him of a designation ahead of this past Sunday's win at Houston. This time around, he's followed a similar regimen through two practice reports, meaning Friday's version may do the same for a Week 12 matchup with the Falcons.

Chase Young - Logs limited practice session Young (knee - ACL + MCL) was a limited participant at Washington's practice Wednesday.
Impact Young was activated from the reserve/PUP list Monday and was able to take the practice field Wednesday, though it's uncertain whether he'll be able to play Sunday against Atlanta. The star defensive lineman has yet to play this season after tearing the ACL in his right knee last November, so the Commanders are likely to be cautious about his return. When he makes his season debut, Young will boost a Washington pass rush that ranks 11th in the NFL with 29 sacks on the campaign.

Wentz returns to Commanders practice, not as starting QB

Carson Wentz is back practicing with the Washington Commanders only without his old role as starting quarterback
NOVEMBER 23, 2022 • Associated Press
Logan Thomas - Still bothered by ribs Thomas (rib) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Impact He was listed with the same rib injury last week and ended up catching five of six targets for 65 yards in a win over the Texans. Production like that hasn't been the norm for Thomas this season, but he could have more useful weeks ahead as he's further removed from the ACL tear he suffered last year and the calf injury that cost him three weeks earlier this season. The Commanders host the Falcons in Week 12.
