Impact Johnson had the Jets backfield mostly to himself one other time this season, and he produced 104 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries after Gore got hurt early in a Week 13 loss to the Raiders. New England's defense has been vulnerable against the run this season, so Johnson could make for an intriguing fantasy option in both season-long and DFS formats in Week 17. In addition to his big game on the ground against the Raiders, Johnson has shown an ability to contribute as a pass catcher out of the backfield, as evidenced by his six-reception effort versus the Rams in Week 15. Josh Adams should also factor into the Jets' backfield rotation, but Johnson's involvement in the passing game seemingly gives him the higher overall fantasy ceiling.

Gore left in the second half with a chest injury, and if he's unable to play in next week's season finale in New England, Johnson would likely take on a larger role on passing downs while Perine handles the bulk of the early-down work.
