INJURIES

Hassan Haskins - Could be featured back Haskins' teammate Derrick Henry (hip) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against Dallas, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Haskins, a 2022 fourth-round pick, has been the No. 2 running back for Tennessee since Dontrell Hilliard suffered a season-ending neck injury Dec. 11. It's a role that mostly entails passing-down snaps while Henry dominates carries, though Hilliard was known as a power runner himself (not a receiving weapon) coming out of Michigan last spring. Julius Chestnut, an undrafted rookie, is the other running back on the active roster and also weighs more than 220 pounds, while former Cardinal Jonathan Ward is available on the practice squad. All of them will face a tough Dallas defense, and in a game where the Titans are huge underdogs while missing a slew of key players due to injuries and/or rest. Still, it's a nice chance for Haskins, who has two carries and six targets over the past 11 games (with five of those eight looks coming the past two weeks sans Hilliard).
DECEMBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dylan Cole - Unavailable for TNF Cole (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Cole is now slated to miss his second consecutive matchup as a result of the ankle injury he sustained in Week 15 versus the Chargers. With plenty of the Titans' linebackers currently nursing injuries of their own, Tarell Basham, Monty Rice, Andrew Adams and Rashad Weaver figure to serve as the team's starters Thursday night against Dallas.
DECEMBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Amani Hooker - Will miss another game Hooker (knee) will be out Thursday against the Cowboys, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Hooker hasn't played since Week 14 against the Jaguars with the injury, and with the team on a short week, he still needs more time to recover. Josh Kalu should continue to play an increased role Week 17 against Dallas.
DECEMBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Malik Willis - Getting another start Thursday Willis will start Thursday's game against Dallas with Ryan Tannehill (ankle) ruled out again, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Tannehill won't return until the playoffs, if at all this season, and Willis' performance so far doesn't inspire confidence in the Titans making it beyond Week 18. Their game this Thursday is all but meaningless in terms of the AFC playoff picture, which probably explains why Derrick Henry (hip) and a slew of other key players are either listed as doubtful or out (to be fair, some of them have missed game recent games). With that in mind, the Titans could let Willis take more shots, even against a tough Dallas defense, as their playoff fortunes are almost certain to depend on the result Week 18 at Jacksonville and nothing else.
DECEMBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Nicholas Petit-Frere - Isn't suiting up Thursday Petit-Frere (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Petit-Frere will now miss his first contest of the 2022-23 campaign as a result of the ankle injury he suffered in Week 16 versus Houston. Le'Raven Clark is in line to start at right tackle while the rookie remains sidelined.
DECEMBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Jeffery Simmons - Not playing Thursday Simmons (ankle) will be out Thursday against the Cowboys, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Simmons has been dealing with an ankle injury for the majority of the season, which forced him to also miss Week 10 against the Broncos. With the team on a short week, Simmons will be unable to recover in time to take the field. In his absence, Mario Edwards and Kevin Strong should each get extra opportunities against Dallas.
DECEMBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Derrick Henry - Doubtful for Thursday's game Henry (hip) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Given Henry's designation, look for Hassan Haskins and Julius Chestnut to see added snaps out of the backfield snaps versus Dallas, while Jonathan Ward is a candidate to be elevated from the team's practice squad to provide additional depth. Assuming Henry is inactive this week, the Titans' top back will turn his focus to preparing for the team's key divisional showdown with the Jaguars in Week 18, when the AFC South champion will be decided.

Colts showcase same offensive issues with Nick Foles at QB: AFC South analysis

Colts showcase same offensive issues with Nick Foles at QB: AFC South analysis
Denico Autry - Makes impact in losing effort Autry (biceps) recorded seven tackles (five solo), a sack, two pass defenses and a forced fumble in Saturday's Week 16 loss to the Texans.
Impact Autry almost made a big play in the first quarter of the contest, knocking the ball away from Davis Mills as the QB neared the goal line. However, Rex Burkhead recovered the ball in the end zone for a Texans touchdown. Autry's red-zone sack of Mills in the fourth quarter ended with a more positive result, as it pushed Houston back three yards to help force a field-goal attempt. Autry appears to have suffered a biceps injury in the loss and was listed as a DNP in Monday's walkthrough, but he was back on the field in a limited capacity Tuesday, and his status is uncertain for Thursday's clash with the Cowboys.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Jack Gibbens - Makes most of expanded opportunity Gibbens tallied seven defensive tackles (four solo), one special-teams tackle and one interception in Saturday's Week 16 loss to Houston.
Impact Gibbens has seen increased playing time over the past three weeks while David Long has been on IR with a hamstring injury. Gibbens played a season-high 71 percent of Tennessee's defensive snaps Saturday and finished with a career-high tackle total. The rookie also picked off the first pass of his NFL career, intercepting Davis Mills in the third quarter on a third-down play.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Kevin Byard - Tallies eight stops in Week 16 loss Byard recorded eight defensive tackles (five solo) and one tackle on special teams Saturday in a loss to the Texans.
Impact Byard finished with his most stops since he logged 12 tackles against Kansas City in Week 9. The veteran safety needs just three more stops to record the second 100-tackle season of his seven-year career.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Monty Rice - Leads Titans with nine stops Rice racked up nine tackles (seven solo) Saturday in a Week 16 loss to Houston.
Impact Rice finished with his second-highest tackle total of the season, three behind his 12 stops Week 14 against the Jaguars. The second-year linebacker has seen an increased role over the past two weeks, playing 120 total defensive snaps over the pair of contests. His surge in opportunity has coincided with David Long's (hamstring) placement on IR.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Derrick Henry - Turns in limited practice The Titans listed Henry (hip) as a limited participant at Tuesday's practice.
Impact Though Henry is nursing what's believed to be a minor hip issue coming out of Saturday's 19-14 loss to the Texans, the running back suggested Tuesday that he thinks he'll be available for Thursday's game against the Cowboys. More specifically, Henry told Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, that "whatever I got to do, whatever coach needs me to do, I'm ready to do," when asked about his chances of playing Week 17. While head coach Mike Vrabel hasn't indicated that he plans to hold Henry out or limited the running back's snaps and touches Thursday, the Titans would need ample help over the next two weeks to claim a wild-card berth even with a win or tie versus Dallas. At the same time, a loss Thursday wouldn't affect the Titans' bid for the AFC South crown, as Tennessee is playing what amounts to a win-or-go-home game Week 18 in Jacksonville to decide the division champion between the two teams. With that in mind, fantasy managers may want to keep an eye out for reports regarding Henry's potential role for Thursday night, even if he approaches the contest without an injury designation.

Texans finally close out game in 19-14 win over Titans

After coming oh-so close in their past two games, the Houston Texans finally got over the hump Saturday with a win over the Tennessee Titans to snap a nine-game skid
DECEMBER 26, 2022 • Associated Press
Derrick Henry - DNP on practice estimate Henry (hip) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact The Titans held a walkthrough Monday, but Henry's appearance on the team's first injury report of the week due to a listed hip issue nonetheless makes the running back's status worth monitoring as Thursday night's game against the Cowboys approaches. In this past Saturday's 19-14 loss to the Texans, Henry logged a 74 percent snap share en route to carrying 23 times for 126 yards and a touchdown, while top backup Hassan Haskins was out there for 15 snaps, catching both of his targets for 17 yards and recording zero rushing attempts.
DECEMBER 26, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Kyle Philips - Not close to return Head coach Mike Vrabel said Monday that Phillips (hamstring) is not close to returning from injured reserve, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
Impact Given Vrabel's comments, Phillips can safely be ruled out for Thursday's matchup against Dallas. The rookie fifth-round pick caught eight of 13 targets for 78 yards through his first four appearances, but he's been on IR since with a hamstring injury. It's unclear when Phillips will be able to suit up again, but the wideout is trending toward sitting out the final two games of the regular season.
