Logs 10 snaps in preseason finale
Rice played offensive 10 snaps in Kansas City's 9-9 exhibition tie with the Seahawks on Friday and did not record any targets or touches.
Impact
Rice and some of Kansas City's key offensive starters got to log some reps during the first quarter before being pulled. Though he didn't produce any offensive output, it's notable that Rice took part in his first game action since he landed on IR due to a concussion late last December. Rice had a tumultuous offseason, as he spent some time in jail due to a probation violation and also had a minor procedure on his right knee, but he appears healthy and isn't expected to face NFL discipline for the legal issue. As such, he can be penciled in as the Chiefs' top WR heading into Week 1 versus Denver on Monday, Sept. 14.

No further discipline expected, per NFL Insider
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Rice is unlikely to face NFL discipline for his probation violation this spring, Charles Goldman of AtoZ Sports reports.
Impact
The report notes that Rice's return from arthroscopic knee surgery is a bigger concern for the Chiefs right now, with the wideout perhaps not yet in game shape after just one week of full-team drills. He probably won't play much this preseason, if at all, but Rice still has a month to get ready for Week 1 against Denver.

Joins 11-on-11 drills
Rice (knee) is participating in 11-on-11 drills at Wednesday's practice, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Per Taylor, that's the first time in training camp that the wideout has done so, as he works his way back from an offseason knee procedure. It remains to be seen how much, if any, preseason action Rice sees, but assuming no setbacks ahead of Week 1, he's slated to maintain his key role as a starter in a Chiefs' WR corps that also features Xavier Worthy (shoulder), with Tyquan Thornton, Jalen Royals and Cyrus Allen (shin) also in the mix for targets that don't go to the top duo.

Easing back in
Rice (knee) is being eased back into the mix during training camp, Jesse Newell of The Athletic reports.
Impact
As Rice works his way back from an offseason knee procedure, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com relays that the wideout hasn't yet been logging reps in team drills. That context has enabled rookie fifth-rounder Cyrus Allen to open some eyes early on in training camp, but once Rice upgrades his practice participation level, he'll step back into a prominent role in a WR corps that also features fellow returnees Xavier Worthy and Tyquan Thornton.
