INJURIES

Has career-best season in 2024 Flott posted 53 tackles (36 solo) and seven pass defenses, including one interception, in 14 games (10 starts) during the 2024 campaign.
Impact Flott registered the highest numbers of his career in multiple categories, including tackles and defensed passes. Uncoincidentally, he also played the most defensive snaps (637) of his three-year professional career. Flott did give way as a starter to Adoree' Jackson for two games late in the season, but Flott was still on the field for about half of New York's defensive snaps during those contests. Jackson will be a free agent at the conclusion of the season and is unlikely to return to New York, giving Flott -- who will be in the final year of his rookie contract -- a good chance of handling a starting role again next year unless the Giants decide to upgrade at the cornerback position.

Ends first campaign on high note Muasau closed the 2024 regular season with 55 tackles (26 solo) and one interception over 15 games (seven starts).
Impact Muasau was called upon to start in Week 1 when Micah McFadden was unable to suit up. Muasau impressed with six tackles and a pickoff in that contest, but with McFadden returning for Week 2, the UCLA product transitioned to a rotational role. Muasau ended up starting six of the Giants' final seven games, though, as both McFadden and Bobby Okereke dealt with injuries, and during that span the rookie recorded eight or more stops four times. McFadden and Okereke are under contract for next season and should be back to full health, so it's unclear how much opportunity Muasau will get out the gate.

Shows improvement in third season Belton recorded 56 tackles (28 solo), including 1.0 sacks, along with six pass defenses (one of which was an interception) and a forced fumble over 17 games (six starts) during the...
Impact Belton began the season as a backup but ultimately made six starts, including the final four contests of the campaign. His tackle and defensed passes totals were career-high marks. Belton lost out to rookie Tyler Nubin on a chance for a starting role coming out of training camp, and he moved into the starting lineup at the conclusion of the campaign only when Nubin's season came to an early end due to an ankle injury. With that said, Belton did make positive strides when he got opportunities. Nubin was a standout as a rookie and should be healthy by the beginning of training camp, but Belton -- who will be in the final year of his rookie contract -- could be given an opportunity to earn a starting role opposite him if Jason Pinnock departs in free agency.

Flashes talent in rookie campaign Phillips finished the 2024 regular season with 71 tackles (46 solo), including 1.0 sacks, along with an interception and two forced fumbles over 14 games (six starts).
Impact After being selected by New York in the third round of April's NFL Draft, Phillips opened eyes as a rookie, finishing fifth on the team in tackles. His biggest performance came in Week 2, when he logged a career-high 12 stops, including his first pro sack. Phillips missed a game early in the campaign due to a calf issue and two later in the season because of a calf injury, but he was overall a consistent contributor from the slot, finishing with at least four tackles in each of his final six games. Phillips showed enough as a rookie to remain a key part of the Giants' defense next season.

Has 8.5 sacks in first year with NY Burns tallied 71 tackles, including 8.5 sacks, along with eight defensed passes and two forced fumbles over 17 regular-season games with the Giants in 2024.
Impact The Giants made a big splash when they traded for Burns in March and subsequently signed him to a five-year, $141 million contract. Though the team struggled to a 3-14 record, Burns proved to be a valuable addition, starting in all 17 of New York's contests and finishing second on the team with 8.5 sacks. The Florida State product also finished second on the Giants with eight pass defenses, which doubled the previous career-high total he established in both 2020 and 2021. Finally, Burns recorded a career-best 71 stops, buoying his IDP value in games when he wasn't able to take down the opposing quarterback. With four years left on his deal, Burns should remain a key part of New York's pass rush for the foreseeable future.

Finishes season with 85 stops Pinnock tallied 85 tackles (50 solo), including 3.0 sacks, along one defensed pass over 16 games during the 2024 regular season.
Impact For the second straight season, Pinnock started in all 16 games in which he played and logged exactly 85 tackles. The fourth-year safety recorded 3.0 sacks over the season's first three weeks to establish a career-high mark in that category, but he didn't record another sack the rest of the campaign. Pinnock also had no interceptions this season after picking off two passes -- and returning one for a pick-six -- last year. He'll be a free agent upon the conclusion of the season and could be an attractive option for team's looking for help at the safety position after two straight years of consistent, though mostly quiet, production.

Signs with Big Blue The Giants signed Morrissey to a reserve/future contract Monday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
Impact Morrissey ended the 2024 regular season on the Giants' practice-squad injured list due to an undisclosed issue. The 26-year-old offensive lineman out of Pittsburgh has appeared in 14 regular-season games (including four starts) since being drafted by the Raiders (and subsequently traded to the Texans) in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Morrissey will work out with the Giants during OTAs and minicamp and will compete for a spot on the 53-man roster during training camp.

Staying with Giants The Giants signed McAtamney to a reserve/future contract Monday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact McAtamney signed with the Giants in May of 2024 and was assigned to the exempt/international roster spot. He didn't make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he was retained on the practice squad and ended up being elevated for Week 9 against the Commanders due to abdominal and hamstring injuries to Greg Joseph and Graham Gano, respectively. McAtamney made a 31-yard field goal and his lone extra-point try in his only outing of the regular season, and he'll have the opportunity to earn the Giants' starting kicking job for 2025.

Catches two passes in Week 18 Bellinger reeled in both of his targets for nine yards Sunday in a 20-13 loss to Philadelphia. He finished the regular season with 14 receptions on 17 targets for 125 yards and no...
Impact Bellinger ended the campaign in quiet fashion, recording less than 10 receiving yards in each of his final three games. The third-year pro looked as though he could take over the role as New York's No. 1 tight end after Darren Waller's offseason retirement, but that spot atop the pecking order was ultimately claimed by Theo Johnson until he landed on IR with a foot injury in early December. Bellinger did step in as the starter after Johnson's injury and posted eight catches for 80 yards in his first two games thereafter before the three-game fade. The organization seems to be high on Johnson, who was fairly productive after gaining his footing in the league, so Bellinger figures to revert back to the No. 2 role next season in what will be the final year of his rookie contract.

Catchless to conclude campaign Slayton did not catch his only target in a 20-13 Week 18 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday. He finished the regular season with 39 receptions (on 70 targets) for 573 yards and two tou...
Impact In what may have been Slayton's final game with the Giants, he actually led the team's wideouts with 48 offensive snaps but had just one pass thrown his way by QB Drew Lock. The lack of production has been typical for the veteran wideout of late. After catching four passes for 108 yards against Pittsburgh in Week 8, Slayton didn't exceed three receptions or 49 yards in any of his final eight contests. He came into 2024 having paced New York in receiving yards each of the previous two campaigns, but it was clear that there was going to be a changing of the guard after the Giants drafted Malik Nabers with the sixth overall pick in the 2024 Draft. The passing of the torch did indeed take place -- Nabers enjoyed a massive rookie campaign, catching 109 passes for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns -- and Slayton slipped to No. 3 in the wideout pecking order behind Wan'Dale Robinson, who ranked second on New York in targets, catches, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Slayton will be a free agent after the conclusion of the campaign and could seek to join a new organization with the Giants embarking upon a rebuild.

Unproductive in season finale Singletary carried seven times for 22 yards and caught his only target for a five-yard loss in Sunday's 20-13 Week 18 loss against the Eagles. He concluded the campaign with 113 ru...
Impact As has been the case for the majority of the campaign, Singletary worked well behind rookie RB Tyrone Tracy, who logged a 60 percent offensive snap share to the veteran's 30 percent mark. Singletary was brought in during the offseason to potentially serve as a workhorse back after the departure of Saquon Barkley to Philadelphia, but Singletary didn't log double-digit carries in any game after Week 4 and tallied 30 or fewer total yards in six of his final seven contests. Instead, it was Tracy who took hold of the starting running back role for the Giants, and that figures to be the case again next season. Singletary has two years remaining on his three-year, $16.5 million deal, so he figures to be back with New York for the 2025 campaign as the No. 2 option in the team's backfield.

Recovering well from ankle surgery Nubin (ankle) expects to be ready to participate fully in team activities during the upcoming offseason, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Impact Nubin needed a tightrope surgery after suffering a high right ankle sprain in Week 14 versus the Saints, but he believes he's already relatively close to being back to full strength. He projects to start at safety again for the Giants in 2025 after a promising rookie season.

Recovering from multiple surgeries Runyan had surgery to address a right ankle sprain and another to address a torn ligament in his ankle after sustaining injuries in Week 14 versus the Saints, Dan Duggan of The Ath...
Impact Runyan was sidelined for the Giants' last four games, but the specifics of his injuries weren't public knowledge until after the end of the regular season. It's not clear at this point whether the recovery timeline for the procedures will cut into the 2025 season.
JANUARY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Toe injury won't require surgery Ojulari sustained a ruptured ligament in his big toe in Week 12 versus the Buccaneers, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Impact Although it kept Ojulari out for the final six games of this season, it doesn't look like the injury to his toe will have any impact on how he begins the new league year in 2025. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
JANUARY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Getting surgery on finger Manhertz will undergo surgery Thursday to address ligament ruptures in one of his fingers, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Impact Manhertz presumably suffered the injury to his finger during Sunday's game at Philadelphia. His next chance to play will come in 2025, and he wraps up this season with three catches for 30 yards and a touchdown on four targets.
