INJURIES

Limited by knee injury The Saints listed Ingram as a limited participant on Monday's estimated injury report with a knee issue.
Impact Ingram apparently is banged up in the aftermath of Sunday's 40-29 loss to the Eagles, during which he picked up a second straight start and accounted for 113 total yards on 22 touches (16 carries, six receptions). The Saints face a quick turnaround Week 12 with a Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Bills, but the fact that Ingram is estimated as a limited participant to begin the week suggests he's not at major risk of missing the contest. Meanwhile, top back Alvin Kamara (knee) remained listed as a non-participant for the third practice report in a row, an early sign that Ingram may be trending toward a third consecutive start this week.

Strong all-around showing in loss Ingram rushed 16 times for 88 yards and brought in six of eight targets for 25 yards in the Saints' 40-29 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Impact Ingram easily paced the Saints in carries and rushing yards while also notching a team-high amount of receptions in another start for Alvin Kamara (knee). The versatile veteran has demonstrated he has plenty left in the tank this season with his work in both Houston and New Orleans, and with a Week 12 matchup against the Bills on Thanksgiving night just four days away, Ingram could well be in line for a third straight start in Kamara's stead.

Primed for another start Ingram appears set for another start with Alvin Kamara (knee) ruled out for Sunday's game in Philadelphia, Michael Baca of NFL.com reports.
Impact Ty Montgomery (finger) is also out, while Tony Jones (ankle) may be activated from injured reserve prior to the contest. Ingram was the lead back from the jump in Tennessee last week, though Montgomery took a handful of snaps in the backfield before injuring his finger late in the first quarter. Ingram then finished the game with a 14-47-1 rushing line and a 4-61-0 receiving line on seven targets, playing 85 percent of the snaps on offense. A similar workload this week isn't out of the question, but there's also the possibility of Jones -- the team's No. 2 back earlier this season -- taking away some snaps and touches.

Tops 100 yards, scores Ingram rushed the ball 14 times for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Titans. He also added four receptions on seven targets for 61 yards.
Impact Ingram stepped up as the lead back for the Saints in the absence of Alvin Kamara (knee) and handled 14 of the team's 21 total rushing attempts. He wasn't particularly effective on the ground, with the exception being a 13-yard touchdown rush late in the third quarter. However, Ingram turned in a strong performance as a receiver, finishing tied for the team lead in targets and second in receptions. He picked up chunk gains of 34, 12 and 10 yards as a pass catcher, which helped him top 100 total yards on the day. If Kamara remains sidelined for the Saints' Week 11 matchup against Philadelphia, Ingram should be in for a strong workload once again.

NOVEMBER 13, 2021 • Associated Press
Spot start imminent Sunday Ingram is expected to start for an absent Alvin Kamara (knee) on Sunday in Tennessee, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.
Impact Kamara was unable to practice this week due to what was called a mild knee sprain. The Saints may be exercising caution with their star running back with the long term in mind, but Ingram is set to handle the bulk of the Saints' backfield reps Week 10. In two games since he returned to New Orleans via trade from Houston on Oct. 27, Ingram has averaged 4.7 yards on 15 carries and hauled in all seven targets for 46 yards. Meanwhile, Ty Montgomery (hamstring) and Dwayne Washington are the current options on the active roster for RB reps, with Lamar Miller and Josh Adams candidates to be elevated from the practice squad.

Gets 14 touches against Falcons Ingram rushed nine times for 43 yards and caught five of five targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 27-25 loss to Atlanta.
Impact Technically in the starting lineup over Alvin Kamara, Ingram was involved early and often both on the ground and through the air. Of course, Kamara went on to handle the majority of the touches, but the split between he and Ingram was modest considering Ingram saw only four fewer carries and two fewer targets. It's the most Kamara has split the load this year, and it might be a sign of things to come if the Saints want to lessen the load on Kamara, who averaged 24.5 combined targets and carries before Ingram arrived prior to Week 8. Look for Ingram to get another healthy workload Week 10 in Tennessee, and he will need just 20 yards to become the Saints' all-time leading rusher.

Totals 52 yards in return to NOLA Ingram rushed six times for 27 yards while catching two of two targets for 25 yards during Sunday's 36-27 win over Tampa Bay.
Impact Despite it being a matter of days since being traded to the Saints, Ingram was active and handled eight touches in a key divisional game. That's a bump in usage compared to what the Saints gave Tony Jones (ankle), who only topped four touches once in four weeks during the Saints' Week 1 blowout of Green Bay. With no word of an impending return for Jones and quarterback Jameis Winston (knee) possibly in store for a long-term absence, Ingram could continue seeing a decent workload behind Alvin Kamara, who has averaged a seemingly unsustainable 20 carries per game this season.
