Impact It's odd that he rejoined the team after missing Thursday but was only a limited participant. Typically a player dealing with a non-injury issue would either miss practice or participate without limitations. In any case, Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson will take on larger shares of the backfield workload if Foreman ends up inactive ahead of the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday. Johnson got the most snaps and touches last week, but in Week 14 it was Foreman who led the way.

Impact Foreman started the contest as the lead back, but after being ineffective, Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson handled most of the remaining snaps. Going forward, this will likely be a difficult backfield to handicap in terms of predicting usage. The uncertainty makes Foreman a very risky fantasy play over the remaining weeks of the season.

Impact Despite having a longer turnaround for this Sunday's game in Detroit after the Bears played the Panthers on Thursday night a week ago, Foreman apparently isn't fully healthy as Chicago begins Week 11 prep. According to Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com, head coach Matt Eberflus said Foreman is progressing well after he was noticeably limping around in the locker room following the Week 10 contest, and the Bears have confidence the running back will be ready to go by the time Sunday arrives. Foreman will have two more chances to upgrade to full activity in practice to remove any lingering concern about his status for Sunday, but even if cleared to play, the 27-year-old could face more competition for the lead role out of the backfield. Kahlil Herbert (ankle/shin) is heading into his second week of practices since being designated for return from injured reserve, and if activated ahead of Sunday's contest, he could poach some of the early down touches from Foreman. For his part, Foreman has done well to ensure he retains a sizable role moving forward; while Herbert has missed the Bears' last five games, Foreman has averaged 4.3 yards per carry over 81 totes while accounting for four touchdowns (three rushing, one receiving).

Impact While Herbert was sidelined for each of the last four games and while Roschon Johnson was sidelined with a concussion for Weeks 6 and 7, Foreman -- who had been a healthy inactive Weeks 2 through 5 -- took the reins of the Chicago backfield. After accounting for 187 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns on 35 touches over his first two starts, Foreman proceeded to remain the Bears' top back while Johnson was back in the fold for the past two weeks, out-touching the rookie by a 30-12 margin. Herbert was designated for return from IR on Monday and was listed as a full practice participant throughout the week, but the Bears will wait at least one more week before adding him back to the roster. With the complexion of the Chicago backfield for Thursday's game being the same it as has been for the past two weeks, look for Foreman to once again lead the way in carries while Johnson mixes in for change-of-pace work.

Ejected in finale Foreman rushed 12 times for 68 yards prior to being ejected early in the third quarter of Sunday's 10-7 win over the Saints.

Impact Foreman and Saints defensive end Marcus Davenport were both disqualified after exchanging punches following a play with nearly 12 minutes remaining in the third quarter. Thanks to a long run of 21 yards, it had been a productive day for Foreman, who elevated his performance this season after Carolina traded fellow tailback Christian McCaffrey in October. In 17 games, including eight starts, Foreman rushed 203 times for 914 yards (4.5 per carry) and five touchdowns. Although he hardly contributed in the passing game, catching just five of nine targets for 26 yards, Foreman will now become an unrestricted free agent coming off his best campaign as a pro. At 26 years old, it'll be interesting to see whether the Panthers seek to re-sign Foreman to once again work alongside Chuba Hubbard, or whether the 235-pound tailback finds a prominent role elsewhere.
