INJURIES

Another 100-yard effort in win Foreman rushed 31 times for 130 yards and a touchdown and failed to bring in his only target during the Panthers' 25-15 win over the Falcons on Thursday night.
Impact Foreman remained in a workhorse role despite the return of Chuba Hubbard from his ankle injury. The veteran's carry and yardage tallies were career highs, and he made his fourth visit to the end zone with a 12-yard rush late in the third quarter. Given his ample success with expanded opportunities this season -- Foreman has 100-yard efforts in all three games during which he's logged double-digit carries -- he should remain the unquestioned leader of the backfield during a Week 11 home matchup against the Ravens a week from Sunday.
NOVEMBER 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Scripted out of production Foreman recorded seven rushes for 23 yards in Sunday's 42-21 loss to the Bengals. He added two receptions for minus-2 yards.
Impact Foreman had little chance to impact the game, as the Panthers couldn't maintain any type of offensive production and also fell behind by 35 points by halftime. As a result, even in the absence of Chuba Hubbard (ankle), Foreman was a non-factor. He could be in a position to bounce back in Thursday's Week 10 matchup against the Falcons -- particularly if Hubbard remains sidelined.
NOVEMBER 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Set to start again Sunday Foreman is in line to lead the Panthers backfield Sunday at Cincinnati with Chuba Hubbard (ankle) missing a second game in a row.
Impact With Christian McCaffrey out of the picture the last two contests, Foreman has helped pick up the slack on the ground, which has been aided by Hubbard missing a good portion of Week 7 and all of Week 8. During that stretch, Foreman has racked up 41 carries for 236 yards and three touchdowns to go with two catches (on three targets) for 27 yards. While he'll continue to get the bulk of the RB touches this weekend, Foreman may yield the occasional rep to Raheem Blackshear and potentially practice squad member Spencer Brown.

NFL odds Week 8: Wacky wins and bad beats
Runs in three TDs in OT loss Foreman rushed 26 times for 118 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 37-34 overtime loss to Atlanta. He didn't catch his only target and ran in a two-point conversion.
Impact Foreman was the focal point of Carolina's offense with fellow running back Chuba Hubbard (ankle) ruled out. With the PJ Walker-led passing game struggling in the first half, a two-yard Foreman touchdown gave the Panthers a 10-7 lead in the second quarter, and he went into halftime with 73 rushing yards on 13 carries. Foreman kept it going in the second half, producing a one-yard touchdown followed by a two-point conversion to tie the game at 21 early in the fourth quarter before tying the game at 28 by finding the end zone from 12 yards out. Even if Hubbard's cleared to play in Week 9 against the Bengals, Foreman has likely earned himself the lead role moving forward.

Set to lead backfield sans Hubbard Foreman is expected to lead the Carolina backfield Sunday against Atlanta with teammate Chuba Hubbard (ankle) ruled out, The Associated Press reports.
Impact The Panthers haven't done much on offense this season, but Foreman and Hubbard combined for 218 total yards last week in a 21-3 win over the Buccaneers in Carolina's first game after the Christian McCaffrey trade. While that type of cumulative production won't happen most weeks, Foreman has a nice opportunity ahead of him with Hubbard unavailable against a struggling Atlanta defense. Raheem Blackshear is the only other healthy tailback on the active roster, though Panthers interim head coach Steve Wilks said he still wants to use a backfield committee and might call up Spencer Brown from the practice squad before Sunday. Regardless, Foreman is a clear favorite to start and lead the team in carries.

Eclipses century mark in upset win Foreman rushed 15 times for 118 yards and secured both targets for 27 yards in the Panthers' 21-3 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Impact Although pregame reports indicated Foreman would open the post-Christian McCaffrey era playing second fiddle to Chuba Hubbard (ankle) in Carolina's backfield, it was the former who led the way in rush attempts and yardage with his teammate exiting the game early. A significant chunk of Foreman's yardage came on a 60-yard run, but the one-time third-round pick of the Texans still gained a respectable 58 yards on his other 14 carries and also made solid contributions in the passing game. Hubbard was impressive in his own right before his injury with 63 yards and a score on nine carries -- along with a pair of catches in his own right -- so the two may continue operating in a fairly close timeshare arrangement moving forward when each is available.
OCTOBER 23, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Won't start in place of McCaffrey Foreman will serve as the Panthers' No. 2 running back Sunday against the Buccaneers with Chuba Hubbard listed as the starter, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Impact In the wake of the Christian McCaffrey trade to the 49ers, there was a belief Foreman could be the primary early-down option out of Carolina's backfield, but Hubbard instead will get the first chance to serve as McCaffrey's replacement. Foreman should mix into the offense in some capacity, but he's managed just 3.1 YPC on his 12 rushes this season and has been targeted only 22 times in 32 career contests, so he may be limited to situational work moving forward.
OCTOBER 23, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Could lead post-CMC committee Interim coach Steve Wilks said Friday that Foreman and Chuba Hubbard will form a running back committee following the trade that sent Christian McCaffrey to the 49ers, though Carol...
Impact Foreman and Hubbard were used sparingly while McCaffrey was on the team, but Foreman had the slight edge in playing time between the backups. Considering Foreman had three 100-yard rushing performances for the Titans after Derrick Henry got hurt last season, he could provide decent production if he's able to hold off Hubbard for touches.
OCTOBER 21, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
In line for increased carries Foreman will likely split carries with Chuba Hubbard for the Panthers after Christian McCaffrey was traded Thursday.
Impact McCaffrey dominated the work out of Carolina's backfield through six games this season, so there will be a significant number of touches available after he was traded to the 49ers. It's unclear whether Foreman or Chuba Hubbard will lead the running backs corps moving forward, as Foreman has seen 12 carries as compared to Hubbard's six. A fairly even split could continue, which would limit the fantasy potential of both backs -- particularly considering the poor state of the Panthers' offense.
OCTOBER 21, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Garners five carries Foreman rushed five times for 19 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Rams.
Impact Foreman's 10 offensive snaps topped fellow backup Chuba Hubbard's four. Although that involvement yielded a season high in carries, Foreman's production remained limited overall. With the Panthers seeing another quarterback injured Sunday, they could rely more on the ground game in Week 7 versus the Bucs, but Foreman's stock is nonetheless capped by Christian McCaffrey's dynamic presence above him.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Gets two carries Foreman rushed twice for two yards in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the 49ers.
Impact Foreman played just three offensive snaps behind star Christian McCaffrey. Although it's encouraging that Foreman at least got the ball while teammate Chuba Hubbard didn't on any of his 11 offensive plays, both running backs possess minimal value as long as McCaffrey is available.
OCTOBER 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Only one touch Foreman rushed once for two yards in Sunday's 26-16 loss to the Cardinals.
Impact Foreman and fellow backup Chuba Hubbard combined for just seven offensive snaps Sunday, leaving little value behind Christian McCaffrey despite the star tailback nursing a thigh injury in the buildup to Week 4.
OCTOBER 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Plays four offensive snaps in win Foreman failed to record a single rush in Sunday's 22-14 win over the Saints.
Impact Foreman was clearly not a part of the game plan Sunday, as he played just four of the Panthers' 61 offensive snaps. As usual, Christian McCaffrey played the majority of snaps at running back, with Chuba Hubbard recording only three rushing attempts in the contest on only seven snaps. It's possible that the 26-year-old may have lost his place as McCaffrey's top backup, but both his and Hubbard's snap shares were too similar to jump to any definitive conclusions. With that said, neither Foreman nor Hubbard retain much fantasy value barring an injury to McCaffrey. The Panthers are set to host the Cardinals in Week 4, and Foreman remains far off the fantasy radar.
SEPTEMBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Gets two carries Foreman rushed twice for nine yards in Sunday's 19-16 loss to the Giants.
Impact Foreman carried on two of his three offensive snaps, playing a tiny role behind star tailback Christian McCaffrey. With teammate Chuba Hubbard fumbling the opening kickoff, however, Foreman's place as McCaffrey's top backup should remain intact heading into Week 3 versus the Saints.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Gets start Friday Foreman carried the ball seven times for 16 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Patriots.
Impact The offseason signing got the start ahead of Chuba Hubbard in this one with Christian McCaffrey once again held out, but neither Foreman nor Hubbard impressed with roughly equal workloads, and no Carolina back managed a run of longer than seven yards on an ineffective night overall for the offense. It seems as though the battle for the Panthers' No. 2 RB spot will continue into next week's preseason finale against the Bills.
AUGUST 20, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Works behind Hubbard Foreman rushed three times for five yards in Saturday's 23-21 preseason win over the Commanders.
Impact Foreman entered the game behind Chuba Hubbard, who started at running back with Christian McCaffrey sitting out. Although Hubbard only carried four times for 11 yards, his competition with Foreman to serve as McCaffrey's primary backup should be worth monitoring during the preseason.
AUGUST 14, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to practice Foreman is practicing Wednesday after dealing with a minor foot/ankle injury Tuesday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Foreman, a free-agent addition, hopes to supplant 2021 fourth-round pick Chuba Hubbard as the No. 2 back in Carolina. It doesn't sound like Foreman's minor foot injury will have much impact on their competition.
AUGUST 3, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Banged up in practice Foreman appeared to suffer a foot or ankle injury at Tuesday's practice and rode a bike on the side after exiting the session, Augusta Stone of panthers.com reports.
Impact It's a good sign Foreman stayed on the sideline and was able to move around under his own power, perhaps hinting at a bruise or minor sprain. He and Chuba Hubbard are competing for backup roles behind do-it-all back Christian McCaffrey, who made 10 appearances total the past two seasons after starting his career with three straight 16-game campaigns.
AUGUST 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Set to serve in complementary role Carolina is hoping Foreman can provide a bigger, more physical complement to Christian McCaffrey and Chuba Hubbard in the backfield in 2022, Darin Gantt of the team's official site...
Impact Foreman was brought aboard this offseason after filling in admirably for the injured Derrick Henry with the Titans in 2021. In nine games, he rushed 133 times for 566 yards (4.3 per carry) and three touchdowns, and he caught nine of 11 targets for 123 more yards. Although Hubbard proved to be a serviceable replacement while McCaffrey missed 10 games last season, he doesn't pack the punch that the 6-foot-1, 236-pound Foreman does. When healthy, McCaffrey should be the focus of Carolina's offense, but given his different skill set, Foreman could carve out a decent-sized complementary role and prove useful in short-yardage situations.
MAY 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Joining Carolina Foreman agreed to terms on a contract with the Panthers on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Foreman was a midseason signing of the Titans last fall as the team looked to fill the void left behind by Derrick Henry, who was lost for the rest of the regular season in Week 8 due to a broken bone in his foot. Foreman seized the opportunity, averaging 4.6 yards on his 137 carries while hauling in nine of 11 targets for 123 yards and scoring three touchdowns in 10 games (including Tennessee's divisional-round loss to the Bengals). With the Panthers, he'll clearly be behind Christian McCaffrey on the depth chart and likely competing with Chuba Hubbard for any backfield touches that remain.
