Produces in relief Foreman rushed the ball four times for 66 yards in Saturday's 19-16 divisional-round loss to the Bengals.
Impact Foreman was relegated to backup duties due to the return of Derrick Henry (foot). Though that limited his opportunities, he was effective when called upon by ripping off gains of 45, 10 and nine yards. Tennessee's season ended in disappointing fashion, but it was very successful for Foreman from a personal perspective. He earned a career-high 133 carries to gain 566 yards and three touchdowns, which came primarily when he served as the team's lead back while Henry was sidelined. Foreman will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent and should finally be able to land a deal and earn a fairly substantial role in a backfield.

Drop in touches expected Foreman will likely play a reduced role in Saturday's divisional round against the Bengals, as Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports that the Titans have activated Derrick...
Impact Even if Henry's not ready to return to his customary workhorse role right away, he'll likely get the majority of rushing attempts in Tennessee's backfield. Henry should usurp Foreman's early-down role, while Dontrell Hilliard's workload on passing downs will likely remain intact. After topping 20 rushing attempts in three of the past four games, Foreman will be fighting an uphill battle to even reach half that total against Cincinnati.

Can't get going Foreman rushed the ball 21 times for 69 yards in Sunday's 28-25 win over Houston. He added one reception for 15 yards.
Impact Foreman dominated work out of the backfield, out-touching Dontrell Hilliard 21-10. Even so, his production left plenty to be desired, as he averaged only 3.3 yards per carry while failing to find the end zone. His run as the Titans' lead back is also likely to be over as Derrick Henry (foot) has been activated from injured reserve with the expectation that he'll be able to return to the field for the team's postseason run.

Big bounceback effort Foreman rushed the ball 26 times for 132 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-3 win over the Dolphins.
Impact Foreman continued to handle the lead-back role for Tennessee, though he bounced back in a big way from a disappointing Week 16 performance. He benefited from game script from a volume perspective to log a career-high 26 carries. However, Foreman also made the most of his opportunity by ripping off big gains of 35 and 14 yards in addition to a 21-yard touchdown late in the second quarter. Though the Titans use three backs, Foreman has managed to top 100 rushing yards in three of his last five games heading into a Week 18 matchup against the Texans.

Touchdown salvages poor performance Foreman recorded nine carries for 17 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 20-17 win over San Francisco.
Impact Foreman narrowly led the Titans' backfield by accounting for nine of the team's 24 rushing attempts. However, he was out-gained by both Jeremy McNichols and Dontrell Hilliard, with Foreman's longest rush of the day going for only eight yards. Adding to the disappointing effort was the fact that Foreman did not earn a target after posting multiple receptions in each of his last two contests. Even given all those negatives, Foreman managed to salvage his performance on a three-yard touchdown run midway through the third quarter. While the disappointing effort casts some doubt on Foreman's ability to produce in a Week 17 matchup against Miami, he is still likely to remain the lead back in Tennessee.

Full practice Tuesday Foreman (ankle) practiced in full Tuesday, John Glennon of SI.com reports.
Impact Foreman opened Week 16 prep with a limited showing at Monday's walkthrough, so bumping up to all activity one day later more or less clears him for Thursday's game against the 49ers. Over the last six contests, Foreman racked up 85 touches while Dontrell Hilliard and Jeremy McNichols combined for 79 touches during that span.

Tending to ankle issue Foreman was limited by an ankle injury at Monday's walkthrough, John Glennon of SI.com reports.
Impact Foreman has built himself up to have the upper hand in the Titans backfield in the wake of Derrick Henry hitting injured reserve due to a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot. Since joining the team ahead of a Week 9 matchup with the Rams, Foreman has 85 touches for 456 yards and one rushing TD in six games. Meanwhile, Dontrell Hilliard and Jeremy McNichols have combined for 79 touches during that span. The team may just be managing Foreman's health with a Thursday game versus the Cardinals on the docket. Still, his status should be monitored to ensure he's available Week 15.

Tennessee two-step: Sloppy Titans fall once again

The Tennessee Titans let a chance to move into the top spot in the AFC slip away in a 19-13 loss to Pittsburgh
DECEMBER 19, 2021 • Associated Press
Tops 100 yards Foreman recorded 22 rushes for 108 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Pittsburgh. He added two receptions for 27 yards.
Impact Foreman dominated work out of Tennessee's backfield with Dontrell Hilliard seeing only nine rushes and Jeremy McNichols six. Foreman took advantage of the opportunity, racking up chunk gains of 20 and 12 yards to top 100 rushing yards for the second time in his last three games. While Hillard served as the primary pass catcher out of the backfield, Foreman has also chipped in multiple receptions for the second consecutive contest. The only thing missing from Foreman's effort was a trip to the end zone, though he has also established himself as the team's goal-line back.

Serves as lead back Foreman recorded 13 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-0 win over the Jaguars. He added two receptions on two targets for 15 yards.
Impact Foreman accounted for 13 of the Titans' 34 rushing attempts, though no other back on the team surpassed eight carries. He wasn't particularly efficient as he managed only 3.6 yards per carry, and his longest gain went for only eight yards. However, Foreman did manage to find the end zone on the Titans' first offensive possession, punching in an attempt from five yards away. Since being promoted to Tennessee's active roster in Week 9, Foreman has topped 60 total yards in three of four games.

Titans lose 36-13 to Patriots, fumble away AFC's No. 1 seed

A lot of things went wrong for the Tennessee Titans in their 36-13 loss to the Patriots and so many of them were self-inflicted
NOVEMBER 28, 2021 • Associated Press
Likely to lead ground attack Foreman is expected to receive the "bulk of the carries" for the Titans in Sunday's game against the Patriots, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Following the Titans' decision to waive Adrian Peterson earlier this week, Foreman looks poised to serve as the No. 1 option on the ground for Tennessee, at least until Derrick Henry (foot) potentially returns from injured reserve in the final weeks of the regular season. With Peterson out of the mix and Jeremy McNichols (concussion) sidelined for the second week in a row, Dontrell Hilliard is the only competition Foreman will face for backfield reps Sunday, but the 5-foot-11, 202-pound Hilliard is seemingly being earmarked for a change-of-pace and passing-down role rather than challenging for a lead role as a runner. Even though Foreman is in line to receive the start, his snap count and usage will ultimately hinge on the game script. If the Titans fall behind early against New England and are forced into catchup mode -- like they were in last week's loss to the Texans -- Foreman could struggle to get more than 10 carries Sunday.

Set to suit up Sunday Foreman (tricep), who was listed as limited on Titans injury reports this week, doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in New England, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site...
Impact Meanwhile, fellow running back Jeremy McNichols (concussion) didn't practice at all this week and will miss a second consecutive contest, leaving Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard to man Tennessee's backfield Sunday. In three appearances for the team, Foreman has hovered between 18 and 36 percent of offensive snaps, but that number may increase with just two RBs available to the offense. Overall, he's averaged 3.7 yards on his 23 carries and gathered in all three targets for 63 yards. When the Titans went pass-heavy this past Sunday against the Texans due to facing a large deficit, Hilliard was the back to prosper, tallying seven carries for 35 yards and eight catches (on 10 targets) for 47 yards on a 63 percent snap share.
NOVEMBER 26, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Limited at practice Wednesday Foreman (tricep) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Meanwhile, fellow running back Jeremy McNichols (concussion) didn't practice and with Adrian Peterson no longer in the mix, Dontrell Hilliard currently profiles as the Titans' top healthy backfield option. Assuming Foreman is able to play Sunday against the Patriots, he'd be in line to share work with Hilliard, with Rodney Smith a candidate to be elevated from the team's practice squad should McNichols remain sidelined this weekend.

Struggles against Texans Foreman recorded seven carries for 25 yards in Sunday's 22-13 loss to the Texans. He added one reception for 15 yards
Impact A week after leading the Titans in carries, Foreman slipped behind Adrian Peterson's workload of nine carries. That could have been in part due to Foreman's ineffectiveness, as he managed to average 3.6 yards per carry with his longest rush going for a gain of only nine. Since joining the Titans in Week 9, Foreman has recorded 23 carries for 84 yards across three games.
