Invisible in Week 17 Felton played one snap on offense and 10 on special teams in Monday's 26-14 loss to Pittsburgh.

Impact Felton was barely seen Monday; after being the team's primary kick returner the last two weeks, he was replaced in that role by D'Ernest Johnson. The rookie's had an up-and-down season, but Felton could get more opportunities Week 18 against the Bengals. The Browns' playoff hopes were dashed Week 17 -- before the team took the field Monday -- and have nothing to gain next week. Additionally, head coach Kevin Stefanski told Zac Jackson of The Athletic that Nick Chubb got banged up Monday, though he stayed in the game. To preserve Chubb, Stefanski could roll with a duo of Felton and Johnson in Cleveland's final game of the season.

Minimal use on offense Felton returned four kickoffs for 83 yards and played four snaps on offense in Week 16's 24-22 loss to the Packers on Saturday.

Impact Felton's playing time on offense took a hit with Jarvis Landry and Austin Hooper returning from the reserve/COVID-19 list, dropping him from a season-high 29 snaps against the Raiders in Week 15 to four against Green Bay. He did serve as the team's primary kick returner for a second straight game, however. He appears to have taken over the kick-return duties from fellow rookie Anthony Schwartz, who was active for the second consecutive game following a three-game absence due to a concussion.

Increased activity in loss Felton caught three of four targets for 16 yards and returned one kickoff for 24 yards in Monday's 16-14 loss to the Raiders.

Impact With Kareem Hunt (ankle), Austin Hooper and Jarvis Landry all on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Felton saw an uptick in targets and playing time. He was on the field for a season-high 29 offensive snaps (52 percent). The rookie has made a bigger impact as a return man this season, but he was removed as the primary punt returner Monday after muffing a couple of punts in last week's win over Baltimore. Donovan Peoples-Jones took over as the punt returner.

Impact Fortunately for the Browns, Felton recovered both muffs, but that was it for his day. JoJo Natson replaced him on punt returns the rest of the way. Following a drop in the Browns' previous game, Felton appears to be on shaky ground. While he did not play on offense, there was one significant development that could create an opportunity for him Week 15 against the Raiders. Fellow back Kareem Hunt sustained an ankle injury and could be unavailable next Sunday.

Impact Felton played just one snap on offense, as the Browns had a full complement of backs available. He's had a presence as a receiver, but that element of Cleveland's offense has suffered due to quarterback Baker Mayfield's multiple nagging injuries.

Fellow running back Nick Chubb also returned from the reserve/COVID-19 list, which put a cap on the rookie's playing time. Felton did return to being the main punt returner, however.

Impact Felton and top running back Nick Chubb (illness) both officially came off the COVID-19 list Friday morning, giving the Browns' backfield two notable additions ahead of a Week 11 matchup against Detroit. Though Felton only has three carries this season he is a key contributor on special teams, as he leads the NFL with 26 punt returns and is averaging 8.4 yards per punt return. Additionally, Felton has caught 13 of 14 targets for 147 yards and a score through nine appearances.
