Leading receiver Thursday Dallas rushed five times for 15 yards and caught four of five targets for 52 yards in Thursday's 27-11 preseason loss to the Bears.

Impact Dallas couldn't get going on the ground like his backfield mate Travis Homer, who carried five times for 44 yards. The two both have a good chance to make the roster, especially because Kenneth Walker (hernia) is suddenly uncertain for Week 1. However, Homer has been handling more reps with the first-team offense during the preseason, and his pass-blocking acumen gives him the edge over Dallas.

Impact Dallas rushed 33 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns and reeled in 21 of 23 targets for 133 yards last season. However, he was out-snapped by Homer, with the latter player's greater reliability in pass protection earning him more work. Until one of the two emerges as the clear-cut top option on passing downs, Homer and Dallas will likely rotate snaps in those scenarios, though neither running back should be counted on for fantasy purposes as long as Rashaad Penny and Kenneth Walker are active and available.

The second-year running back had a chance to secure an increased role when Chris Carson (neck) and Alex Collins (abdomen) suffered injuries. Instead, Rashaad Penny burst onto the scene over the final five weeks with 671 rushing yards (7.3 YPC) and six rushing touchdowns. Penny will be an unrestricted free agent in March but could be re-signed by the Seahawks, and Carson is expected to be back for training camp. Even if both Penny and Carson are out of the picture, the Seahawks will almost certainly bring in competition for Dallas and Travis Homer.
