Impact Jones' night, and the Giants season thus far as a whole, could largely be defined by a pair of individual moments within the back-and-forth affair. The first occurred in the third quarter, when the QB bolted upfield from the pocket and appeared to have a clear path to a TD before tripping himself up at the Eagles' eight-yard line. While New York would ultimately score on that drive, Jones then saw his defense give up a pair of touchdowns on consecutive possessions in the fourth quarter, and he then lost control of the ball on a sack with 28 seconds left while trying to drive the Giants into field-goal range while down by a point. Jones also has his triumphant moments in the form of scoring strikes to Golden Tate and the returning Sterling Shepard (toe) in the first and fourth quarters, respectively. New York would likely not have been in the unfavorable last-drive position it found itself in had Evan Engram corralled a perfectly thrown downfield pass from Jones with 2:14 remaining. Jones' late miscue ultimately snuffed out any hopes of a victory, and he'll now look to regroup and prepare for a tough Week 8 Monday night showdown against the aggressive Buccaneers defense.

Impact Jones' final numbers tell the tale of yet another underwhelming performance for the Giants' air attack, but the second-year quarterback was at least able to keep his mistakes to a minimum and also took just one sack. Jones' one touchdown pass came on an impressive throw in the left corner of the end zone to Darius Slayton, a 23-yard scoring toss that extended New York's lead to two possessions late in the first quarter. That and a 49-yard run served as the highlights of the afternoon for Jones, however, who's disappointed fantasy managers by not coming close to eclipsing the 279-yard effort he mustered in Week 1 against the Steelers. With a forgettable 2:5 TD:INT on the season, Jones will look to give a significant boost to his numbers at the expense of the Eagles in a Thursday night Week 7 matchup.

Impact The second-year QB appeared headed for a big day after the Giants jumped out to a 17-3 lead early in the second quarter, but Jones lost a fumble on a DeMarcus Lawrence sack five minutes before halftime that was returned for a Dallas TD, and he wasn't able to sustain much offensive momentum after that in the face of increasing pressure from the Cowboys' pass rush. Jones has now failed to throw a touchdown pass in four straight games, making him a very risky fantasy option in Week 6 when the Giants host Washington.

Jones now has a miserable 2:5 TD:INT through four games, but his numbers could get healthier in Week 5 against a Cowboys defense that just surrendered 49 points to the Browns.

Impact As his final numbers indicate, Jones' day through the air was extremely pedestrian, even while facing a considerably short-handed 49ers defense. The second-year signal-caller naturally seemed to be affected by the absence of both Saquon Barkley (knee) and Sterling Shepard (toe), and although he connected with eight pass catchers, none managed to garner more than five receptions (Golden Tate) or 53 receiving yards (Darius Slayton). Through three games, Jones has seen his completion percentage drop with each contest, and he's now gone back-to-back games without throwing a touchdown pass. The Duke product will look to bounce back in a tough Week 4 road matchup versus the Rams, but without Barkley and Shepard, he'll continue to operate with a truncated arsenal of offensive weapons.

Impact Jones was strip-sacked on the opening drive, went three-and-out on the following drive and threw a pick on his third drive. The Giants entered the locker room scoreless at halftime, with Jones posting just 73 passing yards. He started to get rolling toward the end of the third quarter and nearly salvaged the otherwise ugly showing with a last-second TD drive, but Golden Tate was called for offensive pass interference in the end zone, marking the end of the game. It was an unfortunate outing after the second-year QB showed some promise in Week 1 against the Steelers. However, the bigger storyline may be RB Saquon Barkley potentially tearing his ACL. If that's the case, Jones will carry a heavy burden in Week 3 against the 49ers.

Throws costly pick in loss Jones completed 26 of 41 passes for 279 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Monday night's 26-16 loss to the Steelers. He also rushed four times for 22 yards.

Impact Jones was inconsistent Monday, showing promise at times while disappointing at others. In terms of positives, Jones picked up where he left off with fellow second-year Giant Darius Slayton, who he not only threw a 41-yard touchdown to early, but also a seven-yard score late. However, following the opening TD, Jones' next throw was intercepted at the line of scrimmage, setting up an easy ensuing Steelers score. Then, after stringing together a 19-play drive featuring his arm and legs to begin the third quarter, Jones foolishly tried to keep a play alive and was hit as he threw, resulting in an end-zone pick. Much like his rookie season, Monday's display from Jones had its highs and lows, so he'll continue to aim for more stable success in Week 2 versus the Bears.
