Xavier Weaver - Blanks in Week 13 Weaver failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Buccaneers.

Impact Weaver went without a catch for the fifth time this season in the Cardinals' Week 13 loss. However, he still played 30 offensive snaps, which was the third-most amongst Arizona wideouts Sunday. Weaver has caught just three of eight targets for 24 yards in seven appearances this season, and he'll likely remain a minimal portion of the Cardinals' offense in the Week 14 matchup against the Rams.

Impact Aside from a Week 9 win in Dallas, when he was active but didn't play, Carter has handled various workloads in eight games since his season debut Week 4. The personnel available to the Cardinals backfield due to a litany of injuries has resulted in as few as one touch (Week 4) to as many as 23 touches (Week 5), but he's settled into roughly seven touches per game (6.9, to be exact) in his last six appearances. On Sunday, Carter took a back seat to Bam Knight (14 touches for 98 total yards and one TD) with Trey Benson (knee) still on injured reserve and Emari Demercado inactive due to a high-ankle sprain. If Benson and/or Demercado are able to return next Sunday against the Rams, the aforementioned workload for Carter may dry up to almost nothing, but he should remain involved as long as that duo is sidelined.

The veteran signal-caller had the ball in his hands with a chance to drive the Cardinals into position for a potential game-tying field goal late in the fourth quarter, but Brissett threw incomplete on consecutive plays to snuff out that possibility and turn the ball over on downs. Despite Sunday's loss, Brissett has effectively moved the offense each week, and considering Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Sunday that Kyler Murray (IR, foot), despite being eligible to have his practice window opened this coming week, still isn't fully recovered, Brissett appears highly likely to remain the starter in a Week 14 home matchup against the Rams next Sunday.
