2026 Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix Results: Alex Palou Back in Winner's Circle

Third Consecutive Top 10 Armstrong brought his Meyer Shank Honda home in sixth place in Sunday's NTT IndyCar Series Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix.

Impact This makes three Top 10s in a row for Armstrong, whose worst finish all season was 11th in the season opener. His average finish is up from 10.9 last season to 8.7 this year. On Sunday, Armstrong qualified fourth and managed to hang right around the bottom of the Top 5 all day before finishing sixth. He'll look to continue his strong start at Long Beach, a track where he finished just 14th last season despite leading a lap.

Rounds Out Top 10 Armstrong finished 10th in Sunday's Java House Grand Prix of Arlington NTT IndyCar Series race.

Impact Armstrong originally finished 11th, but moved into the Top 10 after Felix Rosenqvist was given a post-race penalty. After qualifying sixth, Armstrong had to fight his way back early after having a tire go down prior to the race start, eventually finding his way back toward the Top 10. The Meyer Shank Racing driver sits ninth in points heading into the race at Barber Motorsports Park, where he finished 17th last season but managed to lead six laps in the process.

Finishes fifth at Phoenix Armstrong finished fifth in the Good Ranchers 250 at Phoenix Raceway on Saturday.

Impact Armstrong was among the big movers of the day, as he qualified 13th but was able to recover for a solid finish. He found a groove in the high line to gain track position, working his way as high as fourth place. Armstrong only logged two top-five finishes in 2025, so this was a strong result for him in only the second race of 2026.
