Impact The Rangers don't believe Langford's forearm issue is serious, but they will have the outfield undergo imaging just in case. Langford has been playing center field lately, but with Evan Carter (back) returning, Langford should shift back to left field, once he's over his forearm issue.

Evan Carter - Returns from 10-day IL The Rangers activated Carter (back) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Carter played just one rehab game with Double-A Frisco and served as the designated hitter in that contest. He had been slated to play at least one more rehab game, but with Adolis Garcia (ankle) injured, the Rangers are bringing Carter back early. Carter has been sidelined for most of this month with back spasms.

Adolis García - Lands on IL with sprained ankle The Rangers placed Garcia on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left ankle sprain, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Garcia played the entirety of Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks, so it's unclear when he was injured. He will be eligible for activation Aug. 23, but it's uncertain at this point whether he will be ready to return on that date. Evan Carter (back) has been activated from the IL to absorb Garcia's roster spot.

Jack Leiter - Throws five strong innings Leiter didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Arizona, allowing one run on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts over five innings.
Impact The only damage against Leiter came in the third inning, when Blaze Alexander clubbed a solo home run. The long ball snapped Leiter's streak of three consecutive starts without allowing a homer. Leiter threw 58 of his 91 pitches for strikes and walked fewer than three batters for the first time in six outings. The 25-year-old will take a 3.94 ERA and a 96:54 K:BB into his next start, which is scheduled to come early next week against Kansas City.
