Evan Carter - Out for rest of season The Rangers will transfer Carter (wrist) to the 60-day injured list Friday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Impact A fractured right wrist forced Carter onto the injured list last Friday, and his impending move to the 60-day IL will put an early end to his season. The 22-year-old will finish 2025 with a .247/.336/.392 slash line alongside five homers, 25 RBI, 31 runs scored and 14 steals over 63 games. His 40-man spot will be filled by Dylan Moore, who will join the active roster Friday to replace Corey Seager (appendectomy).

Impact Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young did not rule Seager out for the remainder of the season, but it's possible the shortstop does not return. Dylan Moore will take Seager's spot on the roster and could see some action against lefties, but Josh Smith figures to be the primary option at the position versus right-handers. If Seager's season is indeed over, he will finish with a .271/.373/.487 batting line and 20 home runs over 102 games.

Impact The Rangers are going to be without Corey Seager (appendectomy) for an extended period of time, so the team will turn to Moore to provide additional infield depth. Although he owns just a .622 OPS through 213 plate appearances from his time with the Mariners, Moore could be in line for regular playing time with the Rangers, and his extreme defensive versatility will only help his chances of sticking in the lineup.
