Dylan Moore - Clubs homer in loss Moore went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 9-2 loss to the Astros.
Impact This was Moore's first multi-hit effort since May 7, his second game back from a mild hip injury. Over the previous 11 contests, he went just 6-for-29 (.207) with a home run, four RBI and a 4:15 BB:K. The utility player still gets in the lineup a majority of the time, but his recent struggles at the plate could see his role reduced slightly until he turns things around. Moore has a .279/.339/.514 slash line with eight homers, 16 RBI, 20 runs scored, eight stolen bases and two doubles across 124 plate appearances. While the hitting has been decent overall, he's had some struggles defensively -- his five errors this season already match his totals from each of the previous two years.

George Kirby - Struggles in season debut Kirby (0-1) allowed five runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four over 3.2 innings to take the loss Thursday versus the Astros.
Impact Kirby missed over a quarter of the season while dealing with right shoulder inflammation. He was on a pitch count Thursday, but he had some rust to shake off, struggling the second time through the Houston order. The Astros tied the game with two runs in the third inning and added three more in the fourth. Kirby threw 49 of 72 pitches for strikes and should be able to push closer to 80-to-85 pitches for his second start. Once he's up to speed, Kirby should be back to being an efficient pitcher who relies on excellent command to limit damage. He is projected to make his next start at home versus the Nationals.

Bryan Woo - Struck by foul ball Woo (leg) is expected to make his scheduled start Saturday against the Astros after being struck by a foul ball Thursday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.
Impact Woo was struck by the ball in the eighth inning and immediately went into the clubhouse to be evaluated. The injury doesn't appear to be serious, but manager Dan Wilson did note Woo's leg was swollen. For now, Woo's status for Saturday's start isn't in jeopardy, but his status will be worth monitoring.
