Yu Darvish - Rejoins team Darvish (personal/elbow) was activated from the 15-day injured list and reinstated from the restricted list Friday.
Impact Darvish hasn't pitched for the Padres since May 29 after sustaining a left groin strain during the start. He's had his recovery delayed twice, experiencing elbow inflammation right before his expected activation and then going on the restricted list July 6. The 37-year-old has been throwing on his own and even threw a live batting practice session at a San Diego-area high school Aug. 12. It's unclear if Darvish will be able to enter the rotation immediately, but he should be back on the bump for San Diego soon.

David Peralta - Reaches three times in loss Peralta went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a walk and a run scored in Thursday's loss to the Mets.
Impact Peralta reached on a single in his first at-bat before swiping his second bag of the season. He added another hit in his next trip to the plate and went on to reach three times in the contest. It marked the sixth multi-hit performance this month for the outfielder and he's now hit safely in three straight games. Peralta is batting .345 in August with nine extra-base hits, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored.

Dylan Cease - Fans seven in loss Cease (12-10) took the loss against the Mets on Thursday, allowing three runs (two earned) on nine hits and one walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.
Impact The Mets got to Cease early, tagging the right-hander for a run in the first and two more in the fourth, though one of those would not be charged to him after coming across on a passed ball. He would still manage to come away with his first quality start since July 25 despite taking his 10th loss, generating 14 whiffs in the process. Cease has gone at least five innings in each of his last three outings, though he's allowed multiple runs on each occasion and now carries a 3.50 ERA in August to go along with a 19:8 K:BB.
