Impact The 27-year-old clubbed two home runs during Tuesday's series opener, and he followed up Thursday with his 20th long ball of the campaign. Adames is off to a hot start in August, going 8-for-24 with two doubles, three homers, five RBI and seven runs through six games.

Frankie Montas - Lasts four frames in no-decision Montas allowed three runs on two hits and four walks over four innings during Thursday's 16-7 win against Atlanta. He struck out seven and did not factor in the decision.
Impact The right-hander started off the contest with two scoreless frames and five punchouts, but Austin Riley tagged him for a three-run homer during the third inning. Montas needed 91 pitches (55 strikes) to record just 12 outs, as he was unable to complete the necessary five innings to qualify for a win after Milwaukee spotted him an 8-0 lead. Impact After turning in a strong debut for Carolina on April 6 with six strikeouts over four innings while allowing one unearned run on one hit and two walks, Birchard was shut down with an oblique injury a couple weeks later. He was on the shelf for three months before getting cleared to rejoin Carolina following a couple of rehab appearances in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League. Though the 21-year-old righty is healthy again, the Brewers are still likely to manage his innings load carefully down the stretch.
