Griffin Conine - Lifts 16th homer Conine went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.
Impact Conine has gone 15-for-49 (.306) over 14 contests in September. He's added two homers and seven RBI in that span. The outfielder is now batting .262 with an .848 OPS, 16 homers, 38 RBI, 41 runs scored, eight doubles and four stolen bases over 84 contests this season. He continues to see steady playing time against right-handers.

Max Meyer - Return this season ruled out Marlins manager Clayton McCullough announced Monday that Meyer (neck) has been shut down from throwing and will not return this season, Jesse Borek of MLB.com reports.
Impact Meyer landed on the 15-day injured list just after the All-Star break because of a neck strain. He resumed throwing earlier this month in a last-ditch effort to make a late-season return, but the decision has been made to shut the right-hander down. Meyer will undergo further evaluation before the next steps of his rehab are determined, but it seems at this juncture that the 27-year-old should be ready to roll by spring training. The righty will finish the 2026 season with a 2.68 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 121:41 K:BB over a career-high 111 innings.

Impact Making his second appearance since coming off the injured list, Fairbanks threw only six pitches Monday before exiting. Fairbanks has required two different trips to the 15-day injured list this season with his nerve problem, and if he needs a third it would end his season. More should be known about Fairbanks' condition prior to Tuesday's contest against the Diamondbacks. If Fairbanks is shelved, Calvin Faucher and Michael Petersen are among the candidates to fill the Marlins' closer role.

Impact After roping a two-RBI triple in the second frame, Sanoja lined a solo homer in the fourth inning. Adding to his big day, the third baseman swiped second base in the eighth inning after reaching on a fielder's choice. Sanoja has been on an extended tear at the plate, slashing .339/.378/.571 with five homers, 21 RBI, 17 runs and five stolen bases over his past 30 games. The 24-year-old has put together a quietly strong 2026 campaign overall, hitting .293/.333/.454 with nine homers, 63 RBI, 47 runs and 11 stolen bases in 133 contests.

Impact After Pete Fairbanks exited with an apparent injury after facing just one batter, Ralston was unexpectedly thrust into action in the ninth inning and faltered, surrendering a walk-off two-run homer to Corbin Carroll. Monday marked Ralston's first big-league save opportunity. Since making his debut Aug. 23, the right-hander has posted a 4.22 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 9:5 K:BB across 10.2 frames. Fairbanks' injury could open the door for other Marlins relievers to receive looks at closer, though Calvin Faucher and Michael Petersen are much more likely than Ralston to factor into the ninth-inning mix.
