Impact Farmer has been the Rockies' primary second baseman while Thairo Estrada (wrist) is recuperating, but he'll begin Thursday's matinee on the bench. Tyler Freeman is at the keystone and batting ninth for Colorado.

Impact Beck will hit the bench for the second day in a row while the Rockies hand Mickey Moniak another start in left field after he went 1-for-2 at the dish in Wednesday's 5-1 loss. Through five games on the season, Beck has stolen two bags in as many attempts but has struggled at the plate, going 2-for-13 with five strikeouts against two walks. The Rockies could end up moving the right-handed-hitting Beck into the short side of a platoon with the lefty-hitting Moniak, though manager Bud Black hasn't clarified his plans for left field moving forward.

Impact It's a routine day off for Bryant, who is in a 1-for-14 skid to start off the season. The Rockies are going with Hunter Goodman at designated hitter and Jacob Stallings at catcher in Thursday's series finale.

Hunter Goodman - Accounts for team's only run Goodman went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a double in Wednesday's loss to the Phillies.
Impact Goodman collected half of Colorado's four hits in the contest, including both of the team's extra-base knocks. He also prevented the Rockies from being shut out with his seventh-inning solo shot off Phillies ace Zack Wheeler. Goodman started at catcher for the fourth time this season, and he has also logged one start at DH. The Rockies appear determined to get his bat into the lineup on a near-everyday basis, as he's slashing .386/.400/.842 with two homers, three doubles, three RBI and three runs through 20 plate appearances.

Kyle Freeland - Takes tough-luck loss Wednesday Freeland (0-1) allowed three runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out three batters over 6.2 innings in a loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Impact Freeland pitched well for the second straight outing, but he got very little run support as Zack Wheeler consistently stifled Colorado's hitters. Though he was tagged with the loss, Freeland notched his second quality start while giving up only one extra-base hit (a double) among the nine knocks against him. The veteran lefty has yielded just three runs across 12.2 frames while posting a 10:0 K:BB over his first two starts of the season. Freeland's home park and mediocre numbers in recent campaigns are valid reasons for fantasy managers to question whether he's worth a pickup, however.
