Impact Trejo started the past four games at second base and will take a seat after he went 3-for-18 with two RBI, a run and a stolen base. Harold Castro will man the keystone in Sunday's series finale.

Impact Mears will take the place of Noah Davis on the 26-man roster after Davis was placed on the injured list with elbow inflammation. The right-hander will be a bullpen option while a member of the Colorado pitching staff.

Impact Davis got completely dominated by the Arizona offense, after giving up just one run over his first 9.2 innings pitched this year. The rookie was bound to have a bad game at some point, and he'll have plenty of chances for redemption going forward. The right-hander's next opportunity is tentatively scheduled to be against the Mets on the road in a few days.

Impact Doyle has benefitted from the absence of Yonathan Daza (hand) and has started in five consecutive games. He's struggled to hit consistently -- he's gone only 3-for-17 in those five matchups -- but when he's reached base, he's been aggressive on the basepaths. That was the case again Saturday, as he walked in the second inning and proceeded to steal second base -- his third of the campaign.

Impact Grichuk made his season debut after returning from sports hernia surgery. He batted sixth in the lineup while playing left field, and he should maintain an everyday role in the Rockies' outfield. Grichuk struggled in his first full season in Colorado in 2022, as he managed just an 88 wRC+ and .315 wOBA across 538 plate appearances.

Impact Freeland pitched well, but was victimized by a dormant Colorado offense. The southpaw has bounced back nicely after giving up 7 runs in 2.2 innings against the Pirates on April 17th. The 29-year-old has allowed the same amount of runs over his last 12 innings. However, there is still room for improvement, as he's posted an unimpressive 4.32 ERA so far. Fortunately, Freeland still has plenty of time to try and regain his 2018 form (17-7, 2.85 ERA).
