Noelvi Marte - Steals bag in loss Marte went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Padres.

Impact Marte singled and stole second base in the sixth inning before scoring Cincinnati's second run. He's started three of the last four contests after being recalled from Triple-A Louisville last week and recorded hits all three while scoring two runs. The steal was the second for Marte, who recorded one in an earlier stint with the Reds this season and stole 10 bases over 90 games in 2025. Marte raked while in the minors and will be given an opportunity to reclaim a spot in the outfield.

Matt McLain - Resurgence continues McLain started at shortstop and went 2-for-3 with a double in Monday's 6-2 loss to San Diego.

Impact McLain has hit safely in five of six games in June, going 7-for-18 (.389) with two doubles, three home runs and five RBI during the month. This production has come out of nowhere; he was batting .196 at the end of May and was not in the starting lineup for three of four games prior to De La Cruz's injury. McLain should continue to get regular run at shortstop with Elly De La Cruz (hamstring) sidelined.
