Seiya Suzuki - Stays hot with solo shot Suzuki went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Cardinals.
Impact Suzuki ended the regular season by going deep in four straight games, totaling five homers in that span. He also hit safely in seven consecutive contests, going 8-for-26 (.308) in that span. He traded some contact for power this year, finishing the regular season with a .245/.326/.478 slash line, 32 homers, 103 RBI, 75 runs scored and five stolen bases over 151 contests.
SEPTEMBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Jordan Wicks - Secures three-inning save Wicks allowed three hits and struck out four without walking a batter over three shutout innings to earn the save in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Cardinals.
Impact Wicks' long-relief performance ensured the Cubs' bullpen would be well-rested heading into the wild-card round. Wicks has kept runs off the board in three of his last four outings dating back to Aug. 26, though his struggles in limited action earlier in the year led to him finishing the regular season with a 6.28 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB over 14.1 innings across eight relief appearances. It's unclear if he'll earn a spot on the Cubs' wild-card roster.
SEPTEMBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Javier Assad - Nabs fourth win Assad (4-1) allowed three hits and one walk while striking out six over 5.1 shutout innings to earn the win Sunday over the Cardinals.
Impact Assad closed out the regular season by winning four of his last five outings, one of which was a relief appearance. In that span, he gave up nine runs across 23 innings with a 14:9 K:BB. The right-hander has a 3.65 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 23:12 K:BB across 37 innings through eight appearances (seven starts) this season. His 79-pitch outing Sunday will likely keep him off the Cubs' roster for the wild-card round versus the Padres, but Assad could be included in the bullpen if Chicago advances to the NLDS.

Pete Crow-Armstrong - Launches home run in win Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Cardinals.
Impact Crow-Armstrong has now gone deep in consecutive games, pushing his season total up to 31. That's easily a new career best and is tied with Seiya Suzuki for second on the team behind Michael Busch, who has 34 long balls. Crow-Armstrong has also swiped 35 bases this year, giving him his first career 30-30 campaign and offering a glimpse at the 23-year-old's long-term potential.

Seiya Suzuki - Homers again Saturday Suzuki went 1-for-2 with two walks, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Cardinals.
Impact After going 38 games without a home run, Suzuki has now gone deep in three straight contests, including a two-homer effort Thursday. The slugging outfielder is up to 31 home runs and 102 RBI for the season, both of which are easily new career highs. The recent hot stretch gives Suzuki plenty of momentum heading into the playoffs.
