Scoops up 13th save Reyes gave up a hit and struck out the side in the ninth inning Wednesday to record his 13th save of the season in an 8-5 win over the Pirates.
Impact The right-hander flashed better control in this one, tossing 11 of 15 pitches for strikes and not issuing a free pass for the first time in six appearances. Walks are the only blemish on Reyes' line so far this season, however, as he's a perfect 13-for-13 on save chances with a 0.39 ERA and 31:20 K:BB through 23 innings.

Nails down 12th save Reyes walked one in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 12th save of the season in a 5-2 win over the Pirates.
Impact The 26-year-old continues to roll as the Cards' closer. Reyes has yet to blow a save this season and has only been scored upon once in 20 appearances, leading to a 0.41 ERA accompanied by a 28:20 K:BB through 22 innings. That walk rate is a concern, but he's been almost unhittable so far this year.

Notches 11th save Reyes pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out three to get the save in the Cardinals win over the Brewers on Thursday.
Impact Reyes walked the first batter he faced in the ninth inning and allowed a runner to get into scoring position, but ultimately struck out three for his 11th save of the season. He trails only Mark Melancon for most saves in all of baseball. The 26-year-old has allowed just one run in 20 innings this season.

Gives up first run in 10th save Reyes allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out three over 1.2 innings to earn the save Saturday versus Colorado.
Impact The 26-year-old didn't surrender a run through his first 15 appearances of the season, but he entered with runners on base during the eighth inning and walked a batter who came around to score. The right-hander returned for the ninth inning and promptly struck out the side. Reyes has converted all 10 of his save opportunities and has a 0.53 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 19:13 K:BB through 17 innings this season.

Notches ninth save Reyes pitched a perfect seventh inning, striking out one to record the save during a win over the Mets in Game 1 of a doubleheader Wednesday.
Impact Reyes' nine saves tie him with Ian Kennedy for second in all of baseball. The 26-year-old is always a risk to issue multiple free passes, but even with 12 walks in 15.1 innings, he is a perfect 9-for-9 in save situations.

Racks up eighth save Reyes walked two in a scoreless ninth inning Monday to record his eighth save of the season in a 6-5 win over the Mets.
Impact The right-hander threw only eight of his 20 pitches for strikes in a nervous outing, but he was able to escape the jam he created. Reyes has yet to give up a run or blow a save through 14 appearances this season, but his 15:12 K:BB in 14.1 innings makes his position as closer perhaps a little more tenuous than his surface stats would indicate.

Secures seventh save Reyes struck out one in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Pirates on Sunday.
Impact Reyes only needed 12 pitches to get through Sunday's outing, and he earned his seventh save of the year by retiring all three of the batters he faced. The right-hander hasn't allowed a baserunner in his last three innings, and he hasn't yet given up a run in 13.1 innings across 13 appearances this season.

Picks up first victory Reyes (1-0) was credited with the victory in an extra-inning win over the Phillies on Thursday, firing two perfect innings during which he recorded three strikeouts.
Impact The right-hander was refreshingly sharp, getting his six outs on 25 pitches, 18 of which found the strike zone. Reyes has made it virtually impossible for manager Mike Shildt to remove him from high-leverage duties -- and the closer's role specifically -- by firing 12.1 scoreless frames and going 6-for-6 in save opportunities across his first 12 appearances. Reyes has also now stayed away from issuing free passes entirely in back-to-back outings for the first time all season, an encouraging development considering his still-elevated 19.2 percent walk rate.

Locks down sixth save Reyes picked up his sixth save of the year with a scoreless ninth inning against the Phillies while allowing a single and striking out two in the effort.
Impact Reyes had a strong outing, as he struck out two batters and didn't surrender a walk for the first time in his last four appearances. The 26-year-old is third in MLB with six saves and miraculously hasn't allowed a run despite having an 11:10 K:BB and 1.55 WHIP over 10.1 innings.
