John Deere Classic shaping up as a final qualifier in world ranking for British Open

Several players at the John Deere Classic are going to be vying for a spot in the British Open

Ties for 26th in Detroit Kim fired a four-under 68 on Sunday at the Rocket Classic to finish 15-under and tied for 26th.

Impact Kim averaged five birdies per round and he completed 18 of 21 scrambling opportunities throughout his week at Detroit Golf Club, though he ranked just T62 among the field in GIR percentage and 61st in SG: Off-the-Tee. Nonetheless, he's now gained strokes with his irons in five straight starts, and Kim will tee it up again this week at the John Deere Classic where he won by eight shots in 2018.
