Jay Ducker - Set to play Thursday Ducker (transfer portal) is set to play in Thursday's game versus Georgia Southern, Sports of SHSU reports.
Impact Despite entering the transfer portal in early December, Ducker is set to finish out the Bearkats' season in the New Orleans Bowl. He had a very productive season where he rushed 148 times for 719 yards and seven touchdowns and will look to finish his lone season with Sam Houston on a high note.

DJ McKinney - On depth chart McKinney (undisclosed) is on the depth chart for Thursday's game against Georgia Southern.
Impact McKinney was a regular for SHU in the backfield and appeared in all but one of the team's regular-season contests, tallying 95 carries for 479 yards and three scores across 11 games. If available, he figures to operate as the backup behind Jay Ducker (transfer portal), who will suit up Thursday as well.

Impact Evans will suit up for the Bearkats in their bowl game against Georgia Southern on Dec. 19. The wideout reeled in 43 catches for 473 yards and five touchdowns this season as a staple of the Sam Houston passing attack. Evans will remain in the transfer portal and seek a new school after playing in the bowl game, but he'll give it one last ride with the Bearkats.

Impact Saturday marked McKinney's first missed game of the season as the redshirt freshman was held out with an undisclosed injury. The 5-foot-9 running back had run for 479 yards and three touchdowns through 11 games this season prior to Saturday and will hope to make his return in the Bearkats' upcoming bowl game.

Noah Smith - Comes out of hiding Smith caught six passes for 65 yards against JSU on Saturday. He also ran once for seven yards and even attempted a pass.
Impact Well this is surprising. Last season, Smith was the focal point of Sam Houston's offense. He had over 750 yards and six touchdowns through the air, but also over 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. This season, though, he came into this game with 31 touches and 230 yards total.
